That's one of the first signs of early main bearing damage. Check to see if it makes the noise with the clutch in.

yea i was gonna say main bearings as well. that would suck if it where true, cause once it starts making noise its gonna cost more money then just new bearings

Im gonna F with it a little today, and try to pin point the noise. These 90-93 motors are known for crank wobble. But when the motors on, I dont see it. Im asking around for some Miata guys advice, but I seem to just get hit on..jk

But im waiting for a response from them.

i have tickets to that tonight too from subaru

but i ended up trading them for vouchers since i couldnt make the show..now i can go anyplace thats sold out when i wanna

also u better not drive the dsm to the showing lol

LOL the only way the DSM is gonna make it is if I tow it there. Its motorless and trannyless at the moment. I was hoping if I drive the Edge and slap a huge stupid wing on it, fart can exhaust and a Honda symbol someone would steal it so I could get out of the payments.

DISCLAIMER!!!!!!! Tonight I will be revving the car up a little bit. Its quiet though, so it wont be a huge deal. Just dont want you guys to get mad or think im getting my rice on. Me and a few people are going to trouble shoot the sound...and the way to do it is to run the RPMs upto 7K and let them fall haha.

the best way to find out if its ur motor is to take the exhaust off and bounce of revlimiter, u can hear the bearings chatter threw the exhaust quite easily thats what I did on the talon when i was diagnosing my rod 2 spun bearing.
