Steve's 09 Legacy GT Now with some beat her action

Figured I'll finally make one of these things

For the past 4 years I've been driving a Chevy S10 pickup and pretty much hated every moment of it. Many times I have wanted to buy a used car let it be a 240sx or a 2.5RS or others. But every time I wanted to buy something my parents would always tell me no and you're not buying a used car that was most likely beat on, let alone one that has over 130k miles on it.

Once I finally got a job in my career field I was like what if I buy a new car instead of buying a used car. Which they where cool with, something that had a warranty and what not. I looked at a few different cars, Lexus IS250, MB C230, Subaru's. I only had two requirements in the new car, but be either RWD or AWD and but be a stick shift, even though I've never driven a stick shift car in my life more on that later.

I looked at the IS and was disappointed in the rear seats how they seem crammed to me so that was out, then the MB seemed to nice for me so meh. Which led me to Subaru which I've always loved, looked at the new WRX and the Legacy's. To me the new WRX I weren't feeling yet and they just seemed a little cheap. I went to Reedmans two different times to test drive a legacy, first time I drove a auto 2.5i and the second time a auto 3.0R, but I never got a chance to drive a 2.5GT.

Fast forward to the weekend of March 21st-22nd I emailed Colonial Subaru and see what the can do about interest rates on a 09 Legacy GT. That Wednesday the 25th we go up to there and talk to the guy I was talking to by email and phone and show him I found the car I wanted up in Newtown square PA. Guy tells me sure no problem I can get it here by 9pm to night. Well I figured since my dad was with me we weren't going to "buy" said car that same night but low and behold we did. So I walked out the door buying a new car with out even seeing or test driving it. Fast forward to Friday the 27th, I call my uncle up and tell him hey you need to drive a car home for me.

So we go to the dealer (my dad, uncle and me) go look around the lot for my car, and we find it out front. The one thing I did not want was the wing. Lucky for me the one that was out in Newtown Square was wingless so I was very happy about that. So after looking at the car real close and finding a couple marks on the leather and this weird scuff on the hood scoop I handed the guy my deposit and grab my papers and we left.

So thats pretty much what lead me to here now minus a few small details and what not

That will probably be my next Subaru as it has the more grown up look that will go over a little better in my career vs my current car.

Yea I love the look of it sort of a sleeper car. Even in 5th gear it pulls pretty good on the highway once the turbo spools up. Though it might be to nice for my career as my old truck is more appropriate which you can see is parked behind it still.

Mods, hrm mods, I might do an exhaust and a drop this summer, though I'm debating on if I want to get another set of wheels with winter tires on them or not. Also I got to see how the lights look like in the dark and if they suck I might replace them with some LED bulbs.

Oh and a driver mod, I got to get out and just drive it, on hills I stall it cause I'm scared of rolling back into another car, but if the ground is flat or a slight down hill I'm alright and I can get a nice smooth start with out bucking most of the time same with shifting though the gears and what not, down shifts are a little rough some times still.

Yea I'm getting the hang of it but I only drove a stick shift once before I got into the legacy for the first time. Lets just say the starter gets a work out But once I'm moving I have no problem driving it, just damn first gear starts but it will come sooner or later to me.

Though I'm hoping to be able and comfortable enough to cruise to this years sonic meet in it.

Thanks guys I love the color of the car. Looks so fresh when its wet. I originally wanted either this color or the white color but white came with this ugly ass taupe leather interior and I couldn't live with a light color interior.

These things are so nice when done right - some wheels, a drop, tint. Subtle and slick
