contrary, i downloaded music myself. I used to, now i use pandora radio and lastFM.
I would like to point out that your mentality as a new unknown band is quite funny. Personally, id rather have 3 times as many people listening to my music and knowing about my band, then an extra 20bucks in my pocket from those lost sales.

Same thing could be said for the RIAA, but that has nothing to do with copyright law. Thats more or less a marketing strategy type of thing.

It would be much more than 20 dollars, but it was aside from the fact. Its passed the idea of having people know about the band, being that we where around for about 3 years, when we where releasing our second EP. its more of the idea, than the outcome. proving a point.

everyone really should just get along.

yeah i know, and going on late night television.

In all honesty, how much time could have been spent on his bracket? 15 minutes? That's how long it took me. But it makes him look hip/with-the-times and more likable so if you ask me, in the political world, that's a pretty well spend 15 minutes.

You think the president makes every decision? Nahhh, he's got a team of people who are constantly working, he's just got the 'final' say and puts his name on it. I'm sure he spends a lot of time on it, but I think he's allowed to take a few minutes off here and there to do regular people things.

Are we also forgetting how much time GWB spent in Texas his first few years of office? On 'vacation'?

PS. as a musician.. the RIAA has now decided they want a huge chunk of your live show profits, to make up for the poor cd sales.

^thanks for the input

In all honesty, Im not sure why this has to be argued over. As stated earlier, the law needs to be uphelp, as it protects everyone equally, and the RIAA isnt even getting anything out of this.

You do realize that this isnt going to do anything right? Is it going to stop you from downloading free music?.....Me neither. so who cares. plus I dont have 150k and ive downloaded over a billion dollars in songs at that rate. So I pretty much would just tell them to go **** themselves.
