1080p is worth it over a certain size. I'd say a 1080p is only good for the 42"+ range. Anything below don't bother.

I have a 32 inch samsung 720p.. and i don't have any complaints. my ps3 looked phenomenal on it, but I've witnessed many 1080p blue ray movies and it is just much more crisp, and if you get a tv that runs at 120Hz then there will be 0 blurryness and choppyness with fast movement and camera panning.

1080p is so cheap now
i have a 40" tosihiba 1080p lcd for $679 to my door
i recently saw a 47" 1080p vizio for $599
i also have a 37" 720p toshiba and also a 46" samsung 1080p
sammy is the best
I can tell 720p vs 1080 from 10feet or closer, sitting in bed i can't tell.

for 539 and 3 year warranty it can't be beat. contrast ratio and response rate may suck but it's doable.

If you need a 6" of HDMI give me a PM. I work for a very large telecommunications company and I do have several warehouses under my control.

Deff go for a 1080P Tv if you can. I picked up a Samsung 32" 1080P tv and a PS3 a couple months later. It was well worth the money, blue ray movies are just badass in general.
