anyone ever try shifting without using the clutch and just rev matching? It's scary and hard.

I caught myself not paying attention and ended up doing like 30mph in first @ like 5600RPM just cruising. I think I was playing with the radio or something and thought I was in my DD for a second.

But to be perfectly honest, I don't remember how I used to shift normally. It's been so long since I've driven a manual car on the regular. The truck is automatic and the quad is 1 down 5 up, lol. Nowadays when I drive manual cars its only for a like a couple hours at most and I usually just full hand it just because I'm not 100% comfortable with other people's ****

not scary or hard and its not bad for the trans if you dont suck at it. I also would not call it speed shifting, because if you are trying to go fast or beat on it, you will grind them, alot. It is much, much faster to just use the clutch i feel.

Full palm on 2-3 and 3-5 shifts, usually finger tips on 1-2 and 3-4. Depends on how i am driving though. If its more aggressive, I use my whole hand on all shifts.

When sitting at a red light, does anyone else take the car into neutral, and shake the shifter back and fourth for a second, THEN place it into gear? No idea where I got that from, but I do it all the time now.

Yeah, I've tried it and it works, but it's something that you need to practice at. My transmission hated me after the first few times.
