the officer will show up. ive been to court about 7 times and only once did the officer not show up. as long as he isnt some kind of super dick, he will most likely drop points and youll just have to pay a fine. unless this is for street racing or something serious.

Well when I went in for a ticket in Philly and even without the cop there the charges didn't get dropped (Tailgating). I pleaded not guilty all the way through and ended up just getting out with a fine but no points. Literally took 10 secs.

This is a careless driving ticket for doing donuts in a parking lot when it was snowing. This is my first violation.

in PA the officer accompanies you and the judge in the court room, no prosecutor shows up. ever. just do what i told you and you'll be fine. when is your court date?

The ticket says in March. I tried paying the ticket online to get a court date but the system is down. So I will send it in tomorrow and get a court date, at least thats how I understood it on their website.

RI is totally different in this aspect. I got pulled over for speeding, and a lighting ticket (which, I think is BS, but w/e, this was 5 years ago). No cop, no prosecutor, just me, and the judge.

But, RI also had an awesome rule, if where you didnt get pulled over at any point within 3 years, the ticket gets tossed, unless its something REALLY stupid. They just take a look at your driiving record. But, if you get pulled over within 12mo after that, you pay the fines on BOTH tickets, and double the points.
