I didn't really read any one elses posts but I'll give you my input. I did half day at tech and half day at highschool, and I thought that was perfect. I got to work on cars all morning long which was awesome, then I would get lunch on my way back to normal school then finish the day out at highschool. For me, it was PERFECT because it really helped break things up. I dont know if you have the option of half day or not, but just remember if you go to tech school, your social life in school will normally be reduced a lot. At least for me it was because the tech school was sooooo much smaller then my highschool. But long story short I loved tech school and miss it

If you think that is hard work you have a long road in front of you.

Go to highschool and do good then go to college.

lol come on guys, give the kid a break. I was nervous as hell when I started highschool to dude, its ok. If they have a thing like said before though that lets you try it for a year for 9th grade, you should do that. Worst comes to worst, you can always just go back to normal school right?

9th grade is the easiest to get into. 10th is harder and there is no getting in after that

Honestly Man, I graduated last year from high school my last year I went to school for a half day did school in the morning and went to votec in the afternoon for Automotive It was fun, but alot of the kids goofed off. anyhow I had the option to go my junior year if not sooner but I had my mind set on wanting to go a 4 year college needless to say when I went to my guidence counslor about it Id get shot down.

So my last year of HS I was basically forced to go to Votec I was one of the top kids in the class, But I knew from the start that this wasn't something i wanted to do as a career i looked at it more as hobby more then anything else, right now I am currently working at a Car Dealer as a lot man not the best job in the world but it gives me money here and there but then I am also going to a learning institution to brush up on my skills and to take the SAT or ACT to get into a 4 year college that is my main goal at this point and will be until i get to where I want to be. your young and still have time to decide HS is where it counts make sure you get good grade's the better they are the more likely you"ll get a scholarship etc, and you more then likely to get into a 4 year college do well on the SAT or ACT whichever one you decide to take if you get to that point. You really need to wise up man.

You should be going to high school and doing your work. School will not do anything for you, you have to do that on your own. Man up.

You just got told by a 14-year-old. Damn.

I wish I was still in 8th grade so I could do it all over again. I went to a tech highschool for auto with every intention in making a career out of it. I loved everything about that shop, but I realized it was more of a hobby for me rather than something I want to spend my life doing. Believe me. You'll change your mind 2983651 times before you graduate. ****, I graduated almost a year ago and I still don't know what I'm going to do and I know there are people here even older than I am who are in the same position. Just focus on your work and don't take it for granted. Now I have to pay for a year of college to bring my grades up to do what I want to do because I was "too worried about everything else" when I was in highschool to do it all right the first time. Now I'm kicking myself.
