Wanted: 18 x 9 +40ish 5 x 114.3 Wheel(s) for TEST FIT

I am considering picking up a new set of wheels for next season, and I want to go with a more aggressive spec, something that hasn't really been done yet with my car. But before I purchase the wheels I would really like to test fit something as close as possible to the size I am considering, 18 x 9 +40. I know they will fit in the rear of my car, but they would have to be spaced out or a lower offset to clear the springs on my front coilovers.

I would be happy to drive anywhere within reason to do a test fit, and I can bring all the necessary tools to do it.

For reference here is what my car looks like on 17 x 8 +32's

If you do the math I am mainly giving up inner clearance and only giving up a few mm of outer clearance.

Haha, well if I can make the wheels I want work then yes I would be putting the RGR's up for sale. However that is a big IF considering how aggressive the 9's are, and my reduced clearance up front with the coilovers.

It's funny but if I was dropped on springs I would have already bought the wheels and there wouldn't be any inner clearance issues, but that's not the case...

oh definitely, it just sucks that they limit me from running really aggressive wheels unless I want to modify the collars and go with some swift springs, and even then it's a close call...

i've got a pair of 18x9's in my garage...one of them still has a tire on it, i think the offset is a bit less than 40 on them but i'll look into it.

you're welcome to come by anytime to try it out.

That's not a problem is the offset is lower than +40, if anything it might give me a better idea of what I might have to do to make them work up front. As long as they are 5 x 114.3 that would be great!

I would just need them for the time it would take to remove my wheel and yours to try it on. I wouldn't need to borrow the wheel or anything like that, and like I said I could easily meet up with anyone with a jack, jack stands, and any other tools needed.

As for the 9.5" +12, I'm afraid that would poke like crazy on my car, lol. Is that the sizing on your rears? What is the sizing up front?

EDIT: Just saw that you aren't running a staggered setup. Oh well, thanks for the offer. Btw, I still want to do that photo shoot of your car!

yeah they would look a little goofy. As far as the shoot goes, I start school on the 26th and it's the same story for me. Maybe some day next week before sunset? And no I don't charge for my shoots.
