another question

i have heard about this a few years ago and not sure if its true or not. say your persuing someone doing well over the speed limit, and its not over some kinda feloney and the driver pulls off into a 25MPH zone such as neighborhood, school zone, high volume work area, or industrial park.
iv herd that the officer is not allowed to persue into these kind of areas is this true or not

and also i know state troopers can go as fast as they want but is there some kind of limit set to how fast a county officer can chase you up to?

never going to try any of these just curious.

every department has their own pursuit policies, it depends on the situation and that policy how a pursuit is handled. The person you chasing might be running because they don't have a license or they might have just murdered 5 people you never know. Some departments may have the officer cut the pursuit at a certain speed but again it differs. Sometimes its just obviously pointless to attempt a pursuit a Crown Vic vs a Hayabusa isn't much of a match up not to mention the odds of a motorcycle chase ending in death are multiplied exponentially in comparison to a car chase. Ill sneak up on a bike if I can and try to get his info if I think hes gonna go, I know what bikes are around my area. You might get away from me tonight but ill see you again, I might even come up to them off duty and just strike up a conversation and find out their name. You'd be surprised how quick someone is willing to tell a story about how they outran a cop, ask me how I know.
