#1-4 shot with 70-200 vr
#5 shot with 18-50 2.8 sigma

1 and 5 were handheld HDRs and my first. I wanted to keep the HDR suddle and avoid that cartoon looking effect. Any thoughts?

Nice shots. Watch out, you'll get yelled at that they aren't HDR's 'cause they aren't cartoonish...

The only reason HDR's look cartoonish are because most people don't know how to properly create and tone-map them. A correct HDR should look mostly natural and just have a broader range in the shadows and highlights.

I really like #4, but there appears to be something floating in the middle of all your images...

Thank you! People just get so damn used to seeing that cartoon stuff that they think that's a true HDR. There are so many variations... an HDR is an HDR, no matter how it's Tone Mapped. Some just look better than others

Amen to that.

It's funny you post these pics from Washington Crossing, my buddy and I went there the other day with the idea of walking around and taking pics but we got there and then decided to head for New Hope and Lambertville.

Nice pics, I like #5 the best, just wish the colors popped a little more, but then again with the weather we have had recently I wouldn't expect them to.

Weather was horrible that day. I made the mistake of not bringing gloves, at one point i couldn't feel the buttons. It started to hail for about 15 minutes but then stopped.
I'm waiting for sunnier days to get some true colors.
