Its finally time to get a digital camera and stop buying all those disposables. I know nothing about what to look for except megapixels is good. I dont want anything too much, just something to take everyday pics. Something in the under $130 price range would be nice, and i found several at bestbuy.com that fit that bill. What should I look for that makes a camera good? Any brands? Thanks for the help.

i have a 7.1mp sony point and shoot that is in your price range if you're interested.

thanks for the response. what sony is it? the cybershot? what kind of zoom should i be looking for with optical and digital, and whats the difference?

its a cybershot i think. dsc-w80. 3x optical zoom, i think that just means that its real zoom where digital zoom would be an estimated zoom but i could be way off on that one. iso 3200, 1080p video, etc. its a badass little camera. only trouble is i dont have a charger for it but they're only like $15.

Digital is garbage. Digital = you zooming into a image in Photoshop. Why would you want to take a picture of something zoomed up close and blocky? I can do that later on the computer.

I like canons

But for your price range you could only get the bit bulkier
A590 $109
Good side: if you're traveling and low on juice you could just buy batteries anywhere
Bad side: you'd have to shell out $ for a charger for 4 AA batteries.

thanks for the help guys. here are three i was looking at. i found them cheaper one other sites, just using best buy for comparing purposes. i really like the olympus fe370 but some reviews say there is a gap in between shots. is there any spec that tells you how quick it can take another pic? tell me what you guys think about these...

I forget where but i saw a canon sd750 on sale for $100. it's a killer deal!!! and a great camera!!!
