It's been a full year since I was paralyzed in a hit and run accident. Just wanted to tell everyone to be careful when your out driving. You never know whats gonna happen

Hey man, keep your head up! You got one year under your belt, and a lot ahead of you still! I remember reading the first thread and being completely sick about it.

Just be careful guys, even if your not driving "spirited" or just plain stupid for some people, **** can still happen. How have you been man?

from reading your posts and about your story i must say that you really impress me.

you've been put through hell thanks to the careless actions of someone else, yet you still seem to have a positive outlook on life.

i remember the original thread from a while back, and i'm so sorry that this all has happened to you. any update on the recovery path? did you get to regain anything from your original state?

wow man, I never forgot about that thread and it has really opened my eyes to some ****.

its awesome that you are doing how you are, even if you are paralyzed. Keep your head up and keep recovering more and more. You are a true hero man.

keep doing what you can and i know how it is i have verrrrry weak leg muscles and a dislocated hip and bein in a chair does blow keep it up youll be back drivin if ya want. i can send you hand control sites for stick cars and whatnot. or if ya jus wanna talk with someone whos been disabled for 18 years. my physical therapist is seriously one of the best in the biz if you wanna give him a shot also pm me hes a car guy just like everyone here. and i was the resident cripple first lol

I got hit from behind while driving down Tyburn Road. I spun across the grass median and into oncoming traffic and got T boned. and damaged my spinal chord. It left me paralyzed from the waist down.

I have sensations that come and go in my legs. Its hard to describe how they feel. The muscles in my legs will contract and my legs will move around on their own or when they are touched. But I cant purposely move them.

The house renevations are still going on. Ive out grown my bedroom that im in now with all of my equipment, so Doms99WS6 and a couple of other friends are working on converting my 2 car garage into a new room for me. Its gonna be 13x22 cause we arent converting the whole garage. This will be good for me because I cant really be in my wheelchair until my wounds are healed. Which is going on 8 months now. Ive been in the chair once since April and that was for my familys christmas party on saturday. So the extra room will be good for when i have company when my nurse is here to take care of me

sorry to hear about what happened, and everyone please be careful over the holidays, buckle up EVERY TIME. It doesnt matter if you're going to california or the gas station, always, always buckle up. Watch for other drivers too, we all know people drunk drive over the holidays.
