2010 Nissan GT-Spec V

Well i was at a local Nissan Dealership looking into taking delivery for a GTR they would be getting in January when the GM informs me they will be getting a GTR Spec V most likely in February, they said they will be ordering it for the owner of the dealership but wasnt sure if he would want it or not so there apparently is a chance that theyll have one for sale, or they might just put it in the auction, either way the price tag on the Spec V is absolutely mind boggling, but apparently well worth it.

http://jalopnik.com/5100316/2010-nis...ll-cost-160000

Nissan won’t be attending the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, but prior to the press days Nissan will unveil the new Nissan GT-R Spec-V and thanks to GTRBlog, we have all the specs on the new lighter, faster and more powerful Spec-V model.

Nissan is expected to make only 10 units a month of the special-edition model with prices starting at 15,000,000 yen ($153,625 USD). The new Nissan GT-Spec V will make its official debut on January 8th, 2009 with the following changes:

Engine/Drivetrain:

- Engine output increased to 520-hp.

- Black interior only
- Silver painted panels are now chrome
- Carbon fibre front seats
- Carbon fibre rear shelf replaces seats

If you read the article it says it will be the same hp as the current GTR. That is a heck of a price jump for some carbon parts.

As you may be able to tell I'm kind of a big Nissan enthusiast, and I have to say they really pissed me off with everything involving the GTR. Sure, its really fast, and I'm sure it handles quite well, but wtf man? Put another 50k into R&D on the trans and tack on another few grand per car to recoup it, and FIX IT!

wayyyy to much money. nissan's never started out as expensive brand. all there new models are decently priced, i just think they mark up the price on the car so that they dont sell like hot cakes, cuz it cost them so much to produce one. just my opinion

I think it's underpriced for the amount of performance you are getting. The ZR-1 beat its time by 3 seconds. Oh wow, the ZR-1 is also vastly more expensive than the GT-R.

3 seconds in the racing world is HUGEEE.
For reference, Ferrari dropped $8 million in 2 weeks for research to get 1/10 of a second faster before the last race of the grand prix.
But who would of thought a Corvette would be top of the list at Nurburgring

I hold my opinion about the V Spec.

Lets see how it does at Nurburgring

Thats the real test

If the Jalopnik link proves true it is a huge waste of money over the normal GTR.

For the performance the normal GTR is a bargain. The V Spec not so much from the predictions I have read.
