lol if im reading between the lines properly, you work for verizon or comcast...

this may help... do you work at the corp/regional level or for corporate?

Regional, but I am often in direct contact with corporate personel in charge of various operations, including customers service, engineering, construction, executives, etc. I'll give you one more hint: The name of the unit is Advanced Products Philadelphia Metropolitan. I know all their dirty tricks in/out, but have NEVER experienced them first hand. No, I don't get free cable

I have had FIOS for a while now, and I love it. The internet connection is far better than Comcast, and the TV is great. No problems with the HD content or the on demand. Yeah the menu lags a little, but nothing that restricts me in any way.

The lag on the menu is just the digital tuner. There's nothing wrong with your box or connections.

RCN. We pay $84/month for 20mbps internet and 2 cable boxes (one digital, other HDTV/DVR) with something like 600 channels (~70 in HD). Comcrap wanted almost double.

I've only seen RCN in limited markets. I know for a fact they service Delaware county.

I took some stock options(not that they are worth much right now) in lieu of it.

I recited a quote from the beloved Dwight Schrute(The Office) to them:

"Don't want it, don't need it, won't take it."

Bank is excellent, but the hours and stress are killing me.

Hm...good arguments here. As with anything, not have the pros/cons.

Here is the kicker..With FIOS can I still get Comcast SportsNet?

I assume both. I hate sports so I've got no idea.

Well, looks like we are going with FIOS. I just found out I get a GOOD deal from FIOS because I work for the NFL. So I should have FIOS within the next week or two.
