its powdercoated, ha. real easy to take apart the fpr which i just found out. just take off the top adjustment screw and the 4 allen bolts and its really not under much tension at all. thats really all there is to it. dormant purple... thats what you used on your stuff right?

www.boneheadperformance.com ... they've got a lot of different colors. this is a flat black 2000 degree coating, it looks great and chuck's work is always excellent.

i should also list some of the other shops/companies who have been helpful along this process... thanks to everyone for all of the assistance!

Mine is translucent violet - you can see the basemetal in my powder coating.

Could be the same I dunno - bonehead do it? I am going up this weekend maybe I'll do mine. Can you see through your coating or is it solid?

Alternator looks like poop. I will be sure to point that out every time I see the car.

'Nice ceramic coating on the headers.....really makes that alternator looks like sheet'

'That is a really nice shiny paint job in the engine bay....really makes that alternator look old and crusty'

'I would totally eat a meal off of this engine, if it wasn't for that filthy, grime encrusted alternator'

I'm just messing with you Bryan. It is looking great.

Let me know when you are working on it again.

Nice so the cold pipe fitted up right? I remember us struggling with getting it on and in on the mock up. I'm sure the hot pipe needs fabing though right?

Coatings look amazing. +131343

Haha... damnit dont tempt me... its not that expensive to get it chromed/polished. I'm saving all the polishing stuff for later though, probably do it over the winter. If the alternator does end up sticking out so bad then I'll take care of it.

Rims are brand new... you can polish my knob if you want though, but I think Ash might want to help with that.

Yeah the cold side I knew would fit cause it was on the car before, I just had to get the AC lines and power steering lines to work around it. 80mm piping with 3" couplers kinda sucks though, but oh well. If I ever blow a pipe off then I'm kinda screwed... definitely wont be able to fix it on the side of the road with no jack and the bumper on. But its such a tight fit hopefully they'll never blow off in the first place.
Hot side piping will need to be fabbed, and I haven't dealt with that yet. Ugh.

Ha, yeah well I mean they're road worthy now... if you want to come finish up thats cool, or we can see if we took enough material off or if it needs more first (by driving the car with it as is and/or finding out how much camber the rear has right now). I'll be there on Saturday with Fred though if you want to come out.

Polish the knob, eh? Lol, sounds dirty.

No, really, though. There must be something that needs cleaning. Or I can just be working on other stuff there. Paperwork, research, ish.

You don't happen to pick up Wifi there do ya?

I know your not a dumb guy but if you seriously drive this even remotely close to winter with the salt and all that, I will be very sad. This better be a spring/summer car only.
