My friend has an OBD II but, he's asleep.

Me? I didn't beat this car at all. Like, no joke, never. I don't beat on my car. I think the fastest I've gone in it was 95. Once.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys, even though I have no idea what it means. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

And stop calling it a Failalier, you have (a) Cavalqueer or (b) Queervalier. Pick one. Reading 'Failalier' just messes with my head, like 'bananana' or 'missississippi'.

bad motor mount will not cause that. i have a mount bolt missing and experience nothing of the sort. sounds like a REALLY lean condition at idle which could mean a vacuum hose came off or something of the sort.

Rocky revs can be caused by a faulty ECU or TCU, since it's an automatic. Same thing happened on my Eclipse a while back 'til I converted to manual. Alternator can be defective too, which can cause the dimming lights, loss of power, etc..

you should have had someone on here do it, it would have saved you a lot of money..i'm sure no one on here would rape you on the price like a shop will.

Do what? Diagnose the problem with my car? I dropped it off a little after 8 today and still haven't heard... I'm wondering if that means there's more wrong with it than I thought

a lot of shops charge 100 just to diagnose (depending on where you take it).

I honestly have no clue what they're charging yet, they said they'd call with a price first before they did work to it (as far as the idling thing goes). Who knows.

Didn't really read though, I would say...

1) pull your plugs, see what they look like
2) replace if they are junk
3) rpm's jumping around could be a vaccum line issue
4) when exactly did this start doing it??? just out of the blue???

The tach jumping around and the car shaking only started on Monday morning or so. And yeah, before that there was nothing wrong other than the brake pads that needed replacing.
