As for quitting, do what was said before, occupy that smoking hand of yours. The idea of jelly beans was sweet, i second that. Also, whatever smells like cigs (like your car) needs to be cleaned reallly good. im sure the smell of it wont help you either. My last car smelled like cigs when i got it, i just laid baking soda all over the carpet and seats and let it sit in there over night. vacuumed it out the next day it wasnt as bad.

the habit is all in your head. i smoked for about 6 years and one day before christmas last year i just stoped. it takes a lot of effort and very lil will power to put a cig in your lips and light it. try to break the habit by replacing it with something else. whenever you get the craving chew gum. NOT nicotine gum that ****s worthless.

it all comes down to if you really want to completely stop smoking. and how strong your will is.

i dont know what the best way to go about it is, but i'm in full support either way.
i dont understand why ANYONE smokes, ever. pointless, bad for your health, expensive, unattractive, and so on.

Wrong attitude. You CAN quit again and it's for good this time. You have to start thinking and saying it and drill your mental side that you are quitting and that's your final answer. None of this maybe stuff. It show weakness and you're already losing if you talk like that.

Whatever your reason is, find it. But make sure it's a lifetime goal, not something that stops like when you bought your dog. Quit quit quit.

How is it, you have something completly assholeish in a thread, and something actually decent, a few posts later?

And as for quitting, I have tried several times, but I am constantly surrounded by it (roommate, friends, family, and so on). One goal is to quit right after New Years.

girls who smoke aren't necessarily trashy...
i smoke and i'm not trashy

however, the only way you're going to quit smoking and stick with it is if you actually WANT to quit. at this exact time in my life, i don't want to quit simply because i have an unbelievable amount of stress and pressure on me, and even if it only is in my head, it makes me feel better to smoke. that's not to say that i NEVER want to quit. quitting is relatively easy if you WANT to. almost every member of my family has successfully quit without much trouble at all, including my grandfather who smoked for 40 years.

lol... you smoke therefore your opinion on smoking goes out the ****ing window.

girls who smoke are instantly less attractive because of that... they may have some redeeming factors but it still stands.

i always smell good...like shampoo and perfume..i get my clothes dry cleaned and never wear clothes twice without washing them so i really don't reek of smoke. unless you smoke a lot, especially in enclosed places, you typically don't smell that bad.

have u ever worked somewhere that has a smell? Those first few days you go home after work and you smell and hate it? Then a couple months later you forget about it and when someone says something you go "oh I don't notice anymore"...

Same goes for smoking. You get used to it if you do it or are around the smell all the time.

my dad doesn't think he smells, but he reeks to me. I'm pretty sure I smell like smoke and I can't wear perfume because my office manager is allergic but... I'm sure that I do smell like smoke. Most people do.

ya but don't u think it's a lil crzy u need to carry a lil febreeze bottle with u just in case u smell like cigarette's?

plus y smoke somethin that u say helps u deal with stress when down the road ur going to be stressing when u find out u hav cancer or some sort of heart problem which smoking helped cause. there's other's way to deal with stress....working out, sex, talking to non-smoking friends, the patch, chewing gum, sex again, and i guess a easy option. go for a drive
