Anyone do carpet install?

My wife and I are trying to finish our flooring. i am not good with carpet so i was looking to hire someone to do the carpet in the two bedrooms for me. the padding will be down and the rooms will be pretty empty! let me know what you guys got

my dad has been installing flooring for 20 years.

he does it all as side work now so his prices are much better than the average.

pm me with the sizes of the rooms and i'll let you know what he'd charge... i know it'd be fairly cheap if the old stuff is out and padding is already down.

will you have the carpet already as well?

Whoever you have do it I would make sure he uses a power stretcher instead of a knee kicker. They make for a much nicer stretch that lasts as long as the carpet while knee kicking will surely bubble in time unless the carpet is a softback. It might also be best to find local installers because they are likely to have remanents from other jobs that will fit a bedroom and are likely to be a much better carpet for cheaper.
