if you don't care about it being used you can find much better pricing on the Canons. I sold my xt for $470 with the kit lens, wide angle adapter, 1 gb CF card, lens cleaning kit and a camera bag.

i've only bought used except for my first canon rebel xt. i've gone through the xt, 20d, 30d, and now the 1d and never had any problems with any of them buying used. depending on where you are, you should check out allen's camera over on new falls in fairless hills/levittown area. allens a great guy and has always helped me out when buying things from there....plus has a lot of used gear

i dont care if its used as long as its a good deal and its in good shape. i dont wanna have to track someone down and take pics of me beating the living hell out of them with their own camera

on new falls rd near the corner with rt 413. if you're coming from the great american diner area go down towards new falls and make a left onto it. allens camera is like 3 shopping centers down on the left. it has big yellow signs for it and if you reach where the giant used to be you went too far

Just to let you know the Nikon D40 and the Canon 40D are totally in different price range. D40s are in the 500s give or take and the Canona 40D is around the 1000 range.

I just bought a Canon Rebel XS..not quite as cool as the XSi but I like it a lot

It came with 18-55 lens and I bought a 4g SDHC memory card to go with. All in all it was $620 with the mem card too. From a fellow photog noob, I like this camera a lottttt
