I never did that. I just tried to be quick. If I rolled back into someone, that means the were too close to begin with. I never did though.

You gonna let me drive it a bit? I wanna see what an upgraded clutch feels like

idk, i'd say getta cheap fox body or something to learn on, 8 cyls are easy to drive and hard to stall, IMO. you can start it in 3rd if you wanted to and jump all over the gears, in any order, really.
I must be an epic fail then. Must have stalled my car a dozen times teaching my self how to drive it. Was not fun. I'm still terrible, just waiting for the clutch labor bill

I learned in an 89' Accord. After that, drove two other cars with a manual and didn't have any problems.

Ive been riding quads and dirtbikes my whole life. When I drove a stick car I didnt even think about it. Peice of cake.

I have a stage 3 clutch in my car. I havent driven it yet, but you can feel the pedal "snap". Its probably going to be pretty on/off

ha im actually not bad at it and ive only driven that beetle like 2 times for maybe 10 minutes around a parking lot, test drove a 240 the other day and didnt stall once and i didnt drive a stick since last winter so its not to hard, plus being bad at it is how u learn to get good at it ( if that makes sense), i found a 240 for under 2000 im sure u can find a decent one for around that

it depends on ur situation, nd what type of car u eventually want. I learned on a Porsche 944S2, thats a hard but awsome car to learn on, cuz porshes have notoriously tricky clutches, so if u learn on somethin hard, every other car seems easy. However, we got the car as a starter sports car for my dad, aswell as something for me to learn manual on.
Stick with it and once ur used to it, it becomes second nature. however, i would say stay away from learning on a turbo car due to tricky throttle response.

I give a bump to the Integra, cheap, fun, and has potential if u want that too

invest in a car simulator. my dad and i built one ourselves, it cost us around $2,000 dollars. its an exact replica of an e39 bmw: it has the hand brake, center console and its a 6 spd. i will post pics later when i get home. in the simulator your car can stall out, etc. its very realistic.

here is an example of a simulator.
