I exercise at least an hour a day and I don't smoke so I'll be the judge here

This obese body type far from normal, look at art throughout history the ideal natural body type has always been fit and muscular. How many wild animals do you see that are extremely obese? None, unless of course they have had interactions with humans. Americans lack discipline when it comes to health, there's too many fast foods(meaning all preprepared food) that we're surrounded by. I've been to the point where after eating hot pockets and other crap for 2 months straight, I was about 15-20 lbs overweight so I stopped and lost the weight. For those of you who don't exercise it's amazing how much better you feel after the first week or two of starting out. Even if your not hardcore working out, just simple pushups and crunches every other day will give you more energy.

My brother is over weight and getting bigger and he's only 14. I tell him every day to stop eating all the junk and he takes offense to it. This past summer I made him go bike riding every other day with me he lost about 10 lbs this summer but by the time I see him over christmas break I'm sure it'll be back on. Do I blame him? of course, but I also blame my mom(who is also over wieght) for buying the food.

However I do support the holy invention that is the baconator

Wait I know what's so funny. He's not using his bonus card. What a fool. Does he know how much money he is wasting away?

I'm not commenting on this thread either, but it really urks me when I see overweight parents with overweight children. They teach them how to eat unhealthy which only leads to them suffering from health related issues, including mental health. I could only image what being obese does to a child's self esteem.

It's not even the eating part that's bad. I'm sure a large part of the problem comes from inactivity as well. If they kept their children active instead of throwing them in front of a TV, they wouldn't be as overweight either. Bring your child out to a park or for a bike ride around the neighborhood. Not only is it healthy for you but as a bonus, you get to spend time together as a family!

I don't have enough fingers to count how many people I know that have handicapped parking passes for the simple reason that they're obese. Park in the back of the parking lot! That little extra walking each day could make a huge impact alone on your health.

So maybe we shouldn't care about what they're doing to themselves (since they obviously don't care, why should we?). But as people have already pointed out they do have a huge impact on the lives of people around them, especially their loved ones.

Never understood why people let themselves get that fat, i mean ive always had a bit of a gut, last summer i got it down to the point were you can nearly see a six pack but **** couldnt stand exercising my balls off and eating all that crappy health food!

I still lift from time to time though, and i have put a bit of a gut back on but ive maintained the same weight for the past 8 months, if having a bit of gut means i get to all the good stuff so be it, im still fairly active but im happy and thats all that matters.

ive been riding BMX for almost 7 years now, during the spring, summer, fall seasons, im out all the time riding, yet im still 185 and only 5'6. Im a bigger kid, but according to the doctor, very healthy. I fit in the overwieght, leaning toward obese catagory though. Idk if the whole, "its just your body type" **** is true, but i feel like i cant lose weight at all. i have gotten more in shape, skinnier and healthier over the past few years since ive started lifting, but i just bulked up rather than slimmed down. Losing weight is stupid

Ease off the guy its an addiction just like alcohol and smokes! One day maybe you will have to deal with an unfortunate addiction. BTW this has nothing to do with americans being over weight. For most of them it comes with our lifestyle, fast food and over eating. I feel sorry for him, cause believe me he knows what he's doing but more than likely his mind can't help it.
