Actually, it would mean that I have too much time on my hands. Kind of what happens when you're at work and your not busy. Kind of like you. All day.

And Q... call the shop phone. We will not be answering business calls on the cell anymore, any time of day. The same goes for text messages. PM Hans if you need to leave him a message.

I guess since you're done sweeping you have more time to kill. Does that mean you can answer the phones again? No wait... now you're arguing over the internet.

Check my postings... I rarely post here.

Why? because I'm usually busy doing other things. I'm on here today, because people feel the need to chime in on a topic and spout here-say, and bull ****... because someone told someone else that their brother's best friend knew someone who brought their car here and wasn't happy. because Vr-4-life follows me around all over this site, in every thread I make or post in, and starts running his mouth... even though he has never stepped foot in this shop. because Q calls 20 times a day, even though I just spoke with him about a week ago, and told him exactly what I just told him now... that we're working on getting it in.

Running a shop isn't cut and dry, like a doctors office, or a jiffy lube. If all we did was oil changes... scheduling would be easy. But when you're doing engine swaps, and rebuilds, and turbo conversions, and 5spd conversions, and AWD conversion, and who knows what else... unexpected problems arise, and are dealt with as quickly as possible. And when you schedule jobs, and your mechanic is out sick for nearly a month with crippling joint problems... things get backed up.

I don't have time to post on here to the one or two customers that frequent this forum, to explain what is going on. We told him all of this last week, I didn't think I needed to reiterate myself 20 times over since then.

I agree with you. Saying you're too busy to answer the phones is okay. if you're actually busy, but you've been posting on this forum all day today, which just goes to show that you aren't busy.

Customer service means everything. If someone has a bad experience with you, they are going to tell people. For every bad thing someone has to say about you, that's one more customer you're losing. Maybe you don't care about that, but it's a fact. No one wants to deal with a shop that has bad rep. Maybe you should think about that.

So you're saying is that you can put aside any work that needs to be done to post on here about something that would have only taken a phone call to solve, but you can't answer the phone once? He wouldn't have been calling over and over if you would have answered the first time. You didn't need to post in here that you're busy sweeping. When you saw this thread the first thing you should have done is call him to clear things up. He probably would have respected that more than a lousy post, and it would have helped toward you customer service skills.

I pretty much updated Tru2blu over this forum. I'm sure Emilie can do what she wants on the internet because he's now updated. So, with that said, please take the cat fight elsewhere. This thread is about me dammit!!! You attention whores need to dirty up someone else's thread as I'm not getting the proper attention I deserve [/sarcasm]

We will work on our customer communications. Generally it's pretty good with a few slipping through the cracks. We generally ask the customer to call us at certain times during the day so it makes it easier to group together time for phone calls. Right now is a transition phase for us and we appreciate our customers dealing with it.

We told him the same thing today, as we told him last week. And he's called 20 times a day since then. I wasn't aware I had to call him every day.
