Do you like being told what laundry detergent to buy? Or what prescription drugs to take? Or what tires or motor oil to use for your car? Do you like being told what time it is??

Simply "being told" something, is not akin to being forced or pressured to do something... U don't like it...then ignore it. Thats all i can do for you. Best of luck.

What if the media suppressed ads for better laundry detergents, better prescription drugs, better motor oils, or someone kept giving you the wrong time?

Pay attention to the content of a message and your response may make more sense next time.

I pretty much agreed with everything he said, and have felt this way for a long time. The media attaches itself to candidates they like and publicize them way more than they do everyone else... I payed pretty close attention to the republican race this year and was astounded that Paul got so few votes while he seemed to have such high popularity. I really do think that if the media had covered the other candidates as well as they did the 2 front-runners that we do now, I wouldn't feel like November is going to be a complete toss-up for me.

People listen to what TV tells them way more than they're willing to take the time to put in any personal research. It's pretty sad, really.

Is it really a breakthrough observation that every TV station conglomerate is biased towards a given candidate??? It should be well known fact by now:

Fox (Rupert Murdoch)= Republicans, no holds barred
ABC (Disney)= Hillary Democrats
NBC ( General Electric)= Obama

I'm sure all it takes is a little research to learn which candidates these parent companies make contributions to....

Sadly... you cant vote for ron paul. He is not running anymore.
Another thing to keep in mind is, that ron paul is more popular with younger people who use youtube, while older people who like McCain are probably not as internet savvy. But, yeah... Tv media pretty much gave Ron the shaft.

It's true that the media controls it. How many of you guys watched the republican debates? When McCain or Romney was asked a question, they were given quite a few minutes to respond and blabber on and on. When they asked Ron Paul they gave him maybe 20 seconds and and cut him off to go back to Romney and McCain. They everntually phased out Fred Thompson as well and thus it became the McCain and Romney show. It's totally bogus how the media controlled that, and if Ron Paul was actually given the time to speak, people might have been more interested in him. I'm not an avid Ron Paul supporter, but I just thought it was BS how the news media chose to give more air time to certain people regardless of how the public felt about them.
