A happy medium...PLEASE HELP

I'm looking to keep near stock height with a sportier suspension, any suggestions? I mean I'd like to go lower, but what I realize is I already scrape on my driveway and certain parking lots now....I like my paint. I'm looking for something a little stiffer (when people sit in the back seat the car rubs against my exhaust), but still comfortable. Also does anyone know of any shops that are good with aftermarket suspension in the Philadelphia/Delaware area?

Wow the sarcasm. What information did you need? It's a 98 civic coupe. I live in Chester, PA. The same information you would get from looking over at the left under my picture. I mean it's a pretty open ended question because I'm asking in general. I think it's rude to open a thread just for my car.

I would look into maybe doing an aftermarket strut/springs setup. I couldn't recommend any brands, because I know nothing about Hondas.

I don't see how he was being sarcastic. You asked a question, didn't give us any clue on how you would like your car to perform. Is it your daily driver, or do you have another car for that?

I called it sarcasm because he could have just asked the question instead of the smart response still leaving me to guess what information he's looking for to tell him. Just like you did, you asked questions so I can answer you.

Yes, this is my daily driver. I am looking to lose body roll and become more stable. I have a B18C in there so I'm rolling with about 210HP. I'm just looking for something that won't feel like a racecar when I hit a bump and gives me decent if not stock clearance.

I would just get a nice set of coilovers if your looking to get something decent.

That's what I was thinking myself, but I heard I might have to get a camber kit with that option.

You might, if you go low enough, but I'm not that familiar with Honda's.

I did a bit stiffer springs that had little drop and bigger sway bars along with Ohlin struts on my 06 STI and have been very happy with the ride. The springs and sways reduced the roll and made the car ride more stable overall. The struts kept the ride comfortable for daily driving. Coilovers may be a bit too much for a DD.

Thanks, what I think I will end up doing is getting the Eibach suspension kit, it lowers it a bit but makes everything a lot stiffer and a lot cheaper

I have the Skunk2 Pro-S full coilovers on my hatchback and i do like them. They are a bit stiff but nothing too bad for driving around.

You should also be able to buy different springs for the coil-overs if you end up going that way. A few companies should offer springs with different rates so you can fine tune your ride quality. You just have to get something with the same spring height and diameter.

On a side note, i ran Eibach prokit springs with KYB's and an adjustable 17.5mm rear sway bar on my DD saturn for over a year and the ride felt pretty darn near to stock but body roll was really reduced along with understeer especially with the sway bar. It was about a 2" drop once it settled in though. Add sticky tires and the car ripped corners awesome. Also if you don't already have a good front strut tower brace that will make a little difference as well along with looking baller for your "show" car

try swaybars before touching springs or dampers since you don't want to scrape your car from lowering and aren't complaining about the ride quality.
