Did they go bad/get clogged?

I replaced mine on my Ford ZX2 by just looking around at what was in the way preventing the fuel rail to be pulled. Once the bolts holding my fuel rail was out of the way, and the throttle cable bracket and fuel line was removed, I just tugged and the injectors popped out from the intake manifold. Then I popped off the little clips that held them to the fuel rail and pulled them from the fuel rail.

Reverse for instal.

That happened to mine last week and today I got to replace them. I didnt think how/why they got clogged, so the ones I pulled from my spare car worked for about 5 mins and clogged. AHHHHHHHH Stupid fuel filter.

Do you know where to get injectors cleaned?

after bleeding the pressure out of your fuel lines, pop off the fuel return. then unbolt the fuel rail...3 bolts but dont loose the spacers under the rail. then pop off the fuel rail and slip the injectors out..that easy

The 420a engine only has 2 bolts holding the fuel rail down (13mm bolts) and no spacers for the rail. Just unbolt those 2 bolts and a bracket that is infront of the fuel rail and you should be able to move the fuel rail around to get the injectors out. There is a small metal clip that keeps the injector firmly attached to the fuel rail.

Make sure you have new Seals/o-rings for your injectors. A leaky injector could cause some fire issues.

when you put the injectors back in, let the o-rings soak in some carb cleaner for about 10 mintues, they'll soak up the carb cleaner and give you a snug fit. After you get them back in, make sure you check for any leakage.

I installed them last night, everything seems ok, it def fixed most of my problems. I'm gunna check tonite to double check em. I think the rest of my problem will be fixed with a vacuum kit. When I'm driven it sounds like its supercharged lol.
