92sileighty 11-24-2008 01:25 AM

yea for like orange county and the main line. i think that they would cost way to much, and honestly cops don't need that sh*t.

blewby u 11-24-2008 01:32 AM

i'd be surprised if i ever saw one

hell, i was surprised when we got chargers in our area

Vr-4-Life 11-24-2008 01:33 AM

Yea I doubt we will ever see them although that would be the sweetest ride to jail yet.

And I'm not suprised we have them. They are not that expensive and basically it is the new thing for police departments to buy.

a stock evo can outrun all of the other police cars on the road....**** my sentra can outrun most cop cars minus the hemi chargers....

heres the comparisson to the other police cruisers on the road...looks like it out performs the others...

Erik 11-24-2008 01:41 AM

yea, we just got new chargers like last year here. highly doubt we would ever see kitt the cop car. not any time soon atleast lol all it needs is a hood scoop with neon lights and a speaker for the car to voice its opinion.

blewby u 11-24-2008 01:43 AM

sick, now i'll try to outrun cops next time lol

WKderF 11-24-2008 01:46 AM

ive been reading about this car for some time.

the argument is that every other public service department (fire & ambulance) has purpose built vehicles that are created from the ground up to be used for their purpose, while police cars are modified consumer vehicles. This company is trying to be the 1st to bring a purpose built police vehicle to the market. It looks pretty interesting.

SpEcRv9 11-24-2008 01:47 AM

lol, once cops start chasing you, you probably are not getting away....

unless you are doing 160 and fly by them sitting there and dont slow down, thats basically your only shot at getting away...but even then its still pretty slim...

tdmopar59 11-24-2008 03:03 AM

you can outrun the car maybe... but not the radio and they're helpers.... and it's really not worth trying to run if you get caught...

I was talking to a friend of the family who is a cop and he was telling me that in the philadelphia area the cops really dont like the chargers and only had a few and werent planning on getting anymore.

These ones look badass but honestly I wouldnt think it would be practical.

timp 11-24-2008 05:10 AM

I dig the suicide doors in the back, particularly.

NJGOAT 11-24-2008 12:19 PM

I wouldn't be surprised to see these in Philly once they become available. From what I've heard from some higher ups on the force is that the cops hate the Charger in the city and are not very fond of the Impala's either. Seems that they all miss their Crown Vic's for all the extra space that they had, but the city can't buy anymore of them since they are currently suing Ford over some vehicles combusting after collisions.

BlkWhtTSI 11-24-2008 12:27 PM

those are soo sick, but probably will never see any.

BlkWhtTSI 11-24-2008 12:31 PM

no pics of the a$$ end?! i bet its hideous
