Before You come in for tuning please Read!!!!!!!

Im creating this thread to better serve you when you are here for your tunes. not following these guidelines can either result in not so good tune, or could even lead to engine damage. in most cases you will be charged for the tune and asked to return for completion at no additional charge, if dyno time is sched and we strap your car down and find such issues, you will be charged for the dyno portion

BEFORE COMING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

1. check for any oil leaks , coolant leaks, fuel leaks, etc etc
2. make sure your car is running 100% (we do understand that sometimes mods can cause your car a little weird before tunes, but we mean any other aspect of the vehicle.
3. make sure your car has the proper fluid levels (oil, coolant, brakes,)
4. check tire pressure.
5. please try to only bring yourself on the day of the tune
6. test the system for boost leaks
7. please make sure there is gas in the vehicle, I REALLY REALLY HATE stopping for gas.
8. if equipped with meth injection make sure the system is working properly and the tank is full.
9. PLEASE SHOW UP ON TIME TO THE FACILITY ARRANGED
10. if your car has a check engine light non related to your mods please have the issue addressed.
11. for subarus running custom made ewg setups, please make sure it is designed properly. a system running the wastegate 12 inches away from the upipe is not effecient.

Yep! Attempting to seduce your tuner may result in lower fees. Now if only I had boobs.

matt@turbotek 10-26-2008 11:15 AM

Subie_sleeper 10-26-2008 11:50 AM

NP. I just need a date and time. Coordinating with your schedule and Ryans is gonna be a bitch. The solenoid is plug and play. Maybe just have Ryan do the actuator???

RayArroyo 10-26-2008 11:52 AM

Subie_sleeper 10-26-2008 11:55 AM

RayArroyo 10-28-2008 01:42 PM

redline 10-28-2008 01:48 PM

I am still wondering why tuners would overlook all of this. These are things you should be checking on a recurring basis! I couldn't deal with the people you work for.

matt@turbotek 10-30-2008 11:53 PM

Ray, should I check my headlight fluids and my finnagin pin too before coming to the shop for the tune?....lol!
