opinion on modding a car?
 
ok so i got my new car n i keep getting different responses from people as to waht todo to it..... some say turbo others say s/c im kinda leaning towards the s/c but would it be easier/cheaper to turbo? just want to know what you guys would do

Supercharged is cheaper.

And it depends on the kind of performance you want.

There is no faster choice, and there is no correct choice. It's completely dependant on the user of said modification.

haha yea spellings nice. I would say turbo just because it makes such a cool noise......nah j/k lol. I would say turbo it just because its an import and I believe they do much better turbod then s/c plus thats what you usually see also.

The compression ratio is right at the borderline for either turbo or s/c.
It all comes down to what you want.

I'm gonna put my choice as turbocharging.
The only VW that should be sporting the s/c whine is the Corrado G60. :mrgreen:

Superchargers are cheaper, simpler and therefore more reliable compared to turbocharging... if you aren't looking to put down insane amounts of power.

More people seem to have luck supercharging the 2.0, at least from what I've seen. 5 psi kits are pretty simple and cheap, as long as you don't want to make a ton of power.
