Belmar, NJ beach cruise/meet - Thurs. June 17th - 7pm
 

Just an idea I wanted to try out to mix things up a little bit...

*Belmar, NJ (the beach)
*Meet at Ocean Ave. and 14th St.
*Thursday, June 17th @ 7pm
*Parking spots right along the boardwalk
*Hang out, enjoy the cars and the scenery

Should give an hour or so of daylight to take some nice photos and then we can hang out.
Parking spots right along the boardwalk should be plentiful on a weekday evening, and I think they're free at night. Should be cool to line all the cars up along the boardwalk and just hang out in a different setting.
Feel free to set up some mini cruises out there with friends.

If anyone has ever tried to meet up in Belmar and knows what to expect as how the cops respond to a car meet please let me know, because I have no idea.

Please post up if you're interested in doing this, trying to get an idea of what the turnout would be like.

on a Thursday? I may go if I have nothing to do and its not deathly hot out.

Rather do it on a Friday? I could do that, just figured weekday car meets are better cause they don't interfere with any weekend plans.
People could always cruise down to Pt. Pleasant or Seaside afterwards though if they wanted, or wherever else. Don't think we could have the actual meet there because parking together would probably be an issue.

I would have to imagine it won't be half as busy on a Thursday than a friday-sun.

There are some food places and a bar across the street so there will be some people around, but yeah Friday would be busier than Thursday. If we did it on a weekend we could move down a block or two and it won't be as close to the food/bar.
I just realized if I can plan it right, I can go to the beach all day and then just stay for the meet at night :).

If work doesn't conflict and there's a caravan I might go.

hmm belmar during the summer. even for a week night its tough for spots but this is cool. shouldn't be too crowded this early in the season.

Checked my schedule and I'm on 9:30-3 so I'll be able to make it, just depends how I feel about driving the MSM down.

i think this is a greatt idea. Me and a few friends like to meet up at belmar and just chill. We usually meet by the 711, because the Dunkin is only open til like 9 930? like Venhith said even for a weekday it may be tough. I wouldnt say its tough to get a meet goin, its just the time. 7 is nice because the sun is still upp, butt theyre are still plenty of people walking/joggin around. when the sun goes down thats when the parking spaces clear up usually around 830. (dont let this scare you, there will still be plenty of parking between 7 and 8, but cars will be wide spread)

If the z06 is back from the builder, I'm down. But not looking to promising at this point

I think you've already met Henri, custom metal widebody MkIV, at E-town or the NE Supra meet, but if the weather holds up he'll join us since he lives right there. I haven't seen his car in person yet so I want to actually touch it.

Meet is still planned for Thursday... Sticking with the original plan but if you guys want to change it up next time maybe we could do that. Unfortunately I don't think I'm personally going to be able to make it this week, but I hope everyone else attends and has a good time. Illbe interested to hear how it goes and hopefully we can talk about doing another one soon.

+1 come out and hang out with some CNJ/shore people. I like meeting people and then from that time you get to see the growth in their rides and maybe a fimiliar face at a different local meet.

I was in Brick NJ right next door to Belmar, but by the time we wrapped it up there it was too late to go to any meet if there was one.
