I think I'm going to go with the holster with the black metal clip. I spoke to the manufacturer and he said that he will custom mold it to my XDM. The only problem is that the thing costs like $60, so I want to wait until my permit approval comes in before I make the investment.

And no, I have not been walking around with a concealed weapon...

Absolutely, I wouldn't dare to carry without one..

/\ /\ yup. call it a license to carry (firearms), not a permit.

good choice on the holster. i would still recommend a kydex/leather two clip model like one of comp-tac's or the crossbreed, but if you're set on the single clip design i think the one you chose should work great. most people who carry end up owning a closet full of holsters anyway. lol.

as far as waiting on the LTCF to come in before ordering... i wouldn't wait at all. custom holsters usually take many weeks to be made so you might as well get a head start. PA is a "shall issue" state, not a "may issue" like other states. in other words, you are guaranteed to be given your LTCF unless they can prove that you are disqualified by law. if you're a convicted felon, you're not getting your LTCF. if you're not.. you get it. it's that simple.

That is similar to what the guy at the gun shop told me when I was waiting for approval for me to buy my XDM. He said that if I was approved for the gun, I will def be approved for the license.

This is true then?

absolutely. it avoids potential problems where certain people in positions of power could review the application and deny it for personal, political, or prejudicial reasons. if you passed your background check for your gun you'l definitely get your LTCF so order your holster and get a head start! you don't want to get your LTCF and then have to wait for your holster to be delivered.. that would suck. lol

^Thats good to hear then!

Oh, and I just spoke to the guy who makes the holsters and he said it would only take two days to mold it for my gun.

Yeah, I'm pretty psyched. This gives me some more time to save up because I've been blowing a lot of cash on ammo. lol

On federal court facilities, court facilities, school district property, and any other place which is prohibited by state law to carry a firearm. Also, you are prohibited to carry a firearm on any private property which has a written policy prohibiting firearms on the premises.
Hope that helps.
