I gotta figure out what class i am in to, I thought i figured it out but then got confused soemwhere along the line.
My cars got intake, and an exhaust with no cat as far as performance. Guess im SM to cause of no cat? I was trying to run in the morning and be out by mid day cause i got other things to do but whatever i guess.
Waiting on my brake pads today hopefully they make it in.

malloyboy1 10-26-2007 08:08 PM

day after tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

does anyone know what goes on if it rains?

TROLL 10-26-2007 08:08 PM

they run in the rain :)

damn i want to have a TST tent with a big TST banner... so we can all meet up and say hello at the very least, maybe help each other with prep and get the experienced guys helping the inexperienced. anyone have one of those 10x10 tents? i'll look into seeing if i can get a banner made up last minute... it would just be cool to have a 'meeting spot' during the day isntead of a bunch of us being there but not knowing who's who.

another idea... put TST real big on your back windshield in painters tape or something :)

malloyboy1 10-26-2007 08:24 PM

hahah rain should make it interesting for my 1st time

i may have a tent that i can borrow too and if you go to walmart they have that window chalk for a few $$ so instead of painters tape you can do tst a little nicer on the windows but DO NOT GET IT ON THE RUBBER WINDOW EDGES IT WILL BE A B**CH TO GET OFF or may not come off

ill get back to you about the tent, also what will we anchor it down to? setting it up in the grass it will probably be soaked and muddy and on the pavement we will need blocks or something to tie it to

TROLL 10-26-2007 08:49 PM

we can tie it down to 4 spare tires? :)

ok i think i can switch back to the IWG pretty easily, but my max boost will be like... 10 or 12 psi :(. i think i'm going to ask them about noise levels when i get there and if i have to i'll pull a quick change in the parking lot... car wont be loud any more but i dont want to have to mess with it if i dont have to. its definitely really loud though...

Foresterxtguy 10-26-2007 09:46 PM

ill be the guy in the Forester... easy enough

That's what we do at the track.

vwcorradokid 10-26-2007 09:58 PM

I'll be there taking pictures and video, but I'm going to need someone to spot while i'm doing this, any volunteers? I'm gonna need at least 2 different people from 2 different classes to spot.

Ninja edit:
Unless you're just going to watch, then spotting for me will get you closer to the action.

malloyboy1 10-26-2007 10:16 PM

what do you mean you need people to "spot" my g/f will most likely be there and i may be able to get her to do it.

and BTW,

my tent borrowing fell through so now the tent getting is on someone elses shoulders....

That'd be cool if she's fine with it. They just won't let anyone out there without someone to...wait, I've met your g/f...no way in hell could she push me out of the way...LOL. If they allow it and she's cool with it, I'd appreciate it.

malloyboy1 10-26-2007 10:25 PM

hahha ok someone to watch for cars about to smash you, i love my g/f but i think it would be better not to have her out there (for your sake, she gets "sidetracked")

and no she couldnt push you out of the way

much agreed. LOL

malloyboy1 10-26-2007 10:30 PM

LMAO i can picture it in my head.... she would notice it last minute and try to push you and it would do no good

TalonTsi97 10-27-2007 01:39 AM

I have a tent but i dont think im staying all day and im still trying to figure out what time i will be running during the day. I will see what i can do.
Troll i have been to every warminster autoX and theres been a good amount of cars with ewg and never seen a problem. Theres been open exhaust hondas, and alot of other stuff thats definetly louder then your car and i never heard of there being a problem. Just run the EWG.

malloyboy1 10-27-2007 01:40 AM

multiple tents are not a bad thing.

TalonTsi97 10-27-2007 01:48 AM

Not at all, from what im hearing the weathers supposed to be great for sunday.
Tommorow im picking up a much needed boost controller for the car and im praying my brake pads show up.

doug 10-27-2007 04:02 AM

Troll, you'll at least get 2 runs if youre going over limits. They'll bust your balls on your third run.. at least that's what they did to me when my spec-v's EWG was screaming. I may show for this too, dunno if I'm racing though.

NOPSTNS 10-27-2007 07:32 AM

yeah troll ull be fine, we had an evo 8 rubbin tire at ripken and smoke was everywhere when he was doin runs and we reported on all 5 runs and they didnt do anything about it, they just told him to be careful....

thats way more of a problem then ur noise.

and im sure it isnt anything near loud as that damn white n purple honda that keeps three wheelin it around....anyone kno which car im talkin bout? some 89 civic or somethin?!

yeah right, whens the last time you actually went to the track.

TROLL 10-27-2007 11:36 AM

haha yeah i know the purple and white honda... and i've met the owner too unfortunately.
i just know at warminster specifically they have a noise limit because of the area they do it in has been pretty strict about it. i emailed john rush and he said its kind of medium strictness, that each event they have to boot 1 or 2 cars. i think i'm just gonna go as is and if its a problem i think i can make the change in about 15 mins or so so i could do it right there. course the car will drive different after that with like 10 less psi unless i go retune my WGDC which i'm not going to do :(.
sound wise i'd love to get it routed back into my exhaust so you cant hear it but performance wise i dont want to give anything up. i'm trying to find a 2" resonator/muffler thats straight through and not too huge so i can fit it under the car somewhere :)
