Get over yourself dc2, seriously... In no way do I think the Government is all good... You do know it's possible to like and hate things about government? right?.. That describes me.. In this case keeping harmful sh** away from the people is something I like that they are doing. I do know there's evil within Government!!!! and that's WITH rules.. Your plan seems to be let the private sector take over and lesson the rules?

Like I said before if the Gov. starts keeping things like orange juice from us because Obama prefers milks I'll stand up and fight. Till then I sit back and watch people like you over react because you found an article online (not to mention act superior because they did)

No one is overreacting, and no one found a single article online.

You've been brainwashed and you, and people like you, are too f***ing stupid to realize it and wake up. As I said before... do some research. Find it out on your own. Google is your friend. I shouldn't have to do the leg work for you. Turn off the TV and stop listening to all forms of filtered media. They only tell you what they want you to hear. No one is going to spoon feed you the information, you have to go out and find it on your own.

Re: views on steroids

Thought this was about using steroids and the benefits/health risks of such. I personally don't see any reason why you can't use them in a controlled manner. There has never been a death related to steroid use, (not talking abuse.) When taken responsibly and properly cycled, they can be extremely beneficial. Only mature, adult males should take steroids! Around 25, males naturally start producing less and less of those hormones, so why would you not want to replace those?

I've never cycled before, but I know people who have and I know people who still do. I have NEVER known anyone to die and/or have health complications due to regulated use in smaller dosages. I'm not talking about 3cc a week at 600mL, I'm talking 1cc at about 250-325mL. The male body produces around 7cc, and when that drops thats when a man notices lower libido, lower gains in strength, noticeable joint and muscle pains, and ligament injuries are more likely to happen.

Look at all the medicinally issued steroids and how beneficial they have been. When used in the rigt dosage and not abused, the patient recovers and is often times better than ever. It's not always an image issue.

Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman, and others already know that women find that gross. That's a level of perfection and excellence that barely 1% of America will ever achieve. So why do people always assume there is a vanity issue. I don't think it's any different than those faggy guidos and their spray tans, chin straps, and ridiculous blowouts. Kids on that show Jersey Shore are getting insanely drunk, fighting, and generally acting a nuisance. Why are they praised and elevated to celebrity status, but we look at a bodybuilder as a freak? If anything, I think those kids are utterly ridiculous and on the lower spectrum of society.

When Google starts their own news site or channel, your sarcasm will then make sense. In case you've never been taught - Google is the tool you use to find the information. You pick a topic you're interested in, such as CIA involvement in drug smuggling and distribution within the US, search Google, and then sort through the bulls*** that exists with any topic, and navigate to reliable site with reliable information about events that actually happened... and are happening every day.

Unfortunately for you, based on every post you've ever made about important topics, you will probably identify the reliable sites as junk because of what you've been taught to believe and instead pick information that portrays the world as a happy friendly place with bunnies and rainbows and trees made out of lollipops, and where the US Govt. cares about you as an individual.

The absolute unarguable fact of the matter is that the no entity representing the US. Govt. on any level should have the final say about what any individual chooses to do with their own bodies, including but not limited to steroid or other drug use, abortion, salt at restaurants (lol) etc. It's absolutely not about the subject matter being debated, it's about Govt. involvement in something they have no right to be involved in. They've effectively convinced the majority of the population that they are incapable of making an educated responsible decision that's best for them as individuals, and have taken control 'by default'. It's just plain wrong. There's no arguing with that. It completely goes against everything this country is supposed to stand for.

Thats because they can't.

enohand, I think the Revolutionary War was us fighting to become our own country, not fighting ourselves but I'm not history buff so I could be wrong. You also said that the average American doesn't care about anyone but themself and money. Hell, thats why we came here in the first place.

...

Who is anyone to say that someone isn't making or hasn't made the best decisions for themselves except for the individual in question? Even if someone has really mangled up their own life, that doesn't mean that person is incapable of making a good decision, it means they've chosen not to thus far.

Even if someone was to argue that that's completely wrong, there's no getting around the fact that turning over control of personal decisions to a Govt. agency is absolutely the wrong way to go about things.

Go live in Somalia for a year and let me know if it is better to have all the freedom you want or some govt control. It is necessary, but I do believe there is a fine line between too much and too little.

That's not the first time you've mentioned Somalia, and it has never made any sense. No one is talking about a complete disintegration of a centralized government and total anarchy and chaos. The issue is the US Govt. overstepping their bounds and regulating that which they have no business regulating. No matter how you twist it, a Govt. entity stepping into someone's personal life and saying "That's not good for you, I'm outlawing it." is completely f***ed up.

The 10th amendment states: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

If our elected leaders would simply abide by the law, as they swore a solemn oath to do, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

BTW, how does someone enjoying a recreational drug harm you or anyone else? Why do you feel the need to dictate how others live their lives?

Killing people isn't good, its outlawed. Rape isn't good, its outlawed. You aren't complaining about the govt' stepping into your personal life with that. How is it any different?

Come on that's ridiculous. You really honestly can't see the difference? You seem like a decent guy, I refuse to believe that you're that stupid.

Notice how I said "...a Govt. entity stepping into someone's personal life and saying 'That's not good for you, I'm outlawing it.' is completely f***ed up."?

The US Govt. doesn't step in and say "You know, murder and rape aren't good for you so I'm not going to let you do do either of them." They say "Murder and Rape are hazardous to other people, so you can't do either." Murder and Rape affect other people. Steroids effect one one person - the one taking them.

ETA: A perfect example of the regulatory insanity that happens all the time is the stupid s*** like a complete ban on toys in fast food items like Happy Meals unless the total meal is under something like 500 calories. New York's salt ban in restaurants is another example. Of course those are just food related examples, but the point is that things that are personal choices that affect no one but the individual are no business of anyone except the person in question. How is that so hard to understand?

I'm really just busting your balls. I'm bored at work. I def do see a big difference but steriods can harm others, roid rage. I secretly think the Hulk was on roids and not radiation :-)
