That trap speed makes no sence

tavenger5 08-13-2009 06:10 PM

In terms of mods or in terms of et? For et it makes sense to me.

evomike 08-13-2009 06:11 PM

With all that power that mph makes no sence, it should be way higher

You don't have anywhere near 500 hp. Probably closer to 400

That's why we have Magistrates. Tell JNZ to follow proper legal paths and they'll get their cash.

LOL

It makes *NO* sense. At 118 mph, you should be seeing mid 11 slips, not mid 12s.

At 18psi the car makes 430hp - at 26 it makes a bit more, but I don't have a dyno graph to prove it

No traction and could've shifted better - here's the full time slip numbers:

r/t -0.054 (red light)
60' - 2.053
330 - 5.566
1/8 - 8.247
MPH - 94.42
1000' - 10.501
1/4 - 12.424
MPH - 118.20

Forc3 F3d 08-13-2009 07:10 PM

do you forget he is fwd?

evomike 08-13-2009 07:17 PM

No high hp fwd cars have a high trap speed, that's what they do they top end guys.

well ace is saying at that trap he should see mid 11's. fwd sucks so idk where he is getting that from.

but i also think with having 500hp or whatever his traps should be a little higher than 118

evomike 08-13-2009 07:23 PM

It should be mid 120's to 130 I would think. And it's not on street tires

tavenger5 08-14-2009 12:16 PM

look at the time slip numbers - the 60' and 330 are terrible - they should be around 1.7-1.8 and 5.0-5.2 - After the 1/8 is where the speed really picked up.

have to experiment with tire pressures, make sure there's no boost leaks (which I think there might be judging by the loss in psi towards the end), gas, and shifting better with the WOT box

OMGz Turbo 08-14-2009 12:37 PM

Well this car has came such a long way, should be in the 11's

TNTramair 08-14-2009 03:19 PM

I was there thursday and watched a few of your runs and something didnt sound quite right with it. seemed it wasnt reving up very fast....atleast not like other ive heard anyway. i didnt hear you spinning the slicks at all....more like they were catching and would cause you to bog down. dunno if you were running on 18psi or 26 but if it was 26 than theres definetly something wrong considering your trap speed. hope ya get it squared away.

Oh - you were running the green firebird, right? Sorry I didn't get a chance to say hi!

On a couple of the runs I def bogged, but a couple of the others were the opposite. I was shifting at ~6600. I was set at 26, but was seeing some of that fall off to 22-23, which is why I need to check for boost leaks.

morgans432 08-14-2009 08:01 PM

i dont know crap about neons but that should be faster like 11.6 area

All the money he has in this thing it should be in the 10s LoL. I went 11.60's with stock motor, trans, clutch & a dbb 50trim on an SAFCII. Another guy went 11.40's on an s256 stock motor & EMS. Sounds like the OP needs to buy himself a drivermod.
