Kerplunk105 10-22-2007 09:13 AM

Does anyone know what time this usually runs till? Couldnt find it on the webpage...

alwaysinboost 10-22-2007 09:22 AM

depends on what class you are in. if you are running in the AM you should be done by 1:30 or so. if you run in the afternoon I think around 5 as long as everyone finishes their heats on schedule.

DropTopChevy 10-23-2007 12:09 AM

I'm considering going, borderline participating. Gotta call out of work if I want to participate.

NOPSTNS 10-23-2007 07:31 AM

around page ten is the lists and explanations of each class.....

this is a good read for any newcomer!......

stolen from phillyscca.com.................................... ....

http://rmsolo.org/coneclps/NoviceGD.pdf

edit, spock ur gonna be SM2, its exactly the same as SM only for 2 seaters....no diff....i just glanced the rules for each class and noticed something.....dont worry

Spocknasty 10-23-2007 02:56 PM

But Frank, it's a one seater!

TROLL 10-23-2007 04:09 PM

frank, are you on r compounds? not gonna lie i'm trying to see how i stack up but that plan would kinda go out the window if you're not on normal summer tires.

NOPSTNS 10-23-2007 06:21 PM

im on bald summer tires....they are heat cycled and under the legal limit considering the wear....just as grippy as plastic tires.

most of the SM crew run r comps i am not one of them. next yr i will have a dedicated wheel set for r comps and my axis wheels will have gay all seasons for street driving but next yr i wont be autoxing so u should feel honored to run with me on my last autox......bring a camera, the phillyscca ppl will be flying flags in my honor and a few jets from the local base will fly over and there will be a 4 man salute and rifle firing after i cross the cones for the last run.....

ull do just fine, the car is only 3% of a factor in autox.

TROLL 10-23-2007 06:25 PM

oh see i thought it was 80% driver, 18% tires, and 2% car... but i was never any good at math anyway :)

the one thing i'm concerned about is rubbing. got things squared away so that i dont rub on the street any more but when i really give the suspension a workout we'll see if i'm still in the clear.

NOPSTNS 10-23-2007 06:29 PM

we r kind of apples n oranges bud, what i do is find a car as close in setup as possible (not a hard thing to do in ur case) and see their times....

rwd torqueless bald tires with moron driver vs awd torqueful not bad tires not moron is not anywhere near the same

TROLL 10-23-2007 06:38 PM

yeah its not a big deal... i've done a half dozen or so autoxes so i know what to expect, its just always fun to see what other guys you know are doing and how well its working for them.
anywho, as long as the tune goes as planned i'll be there. i'm crossing my fingers...
