Driving the right line will yield more improvements in time than being more aggressive with the car. Drive is slow at first and make sure you have the right positioning, then bring the speed. I have to tell myself that constantly, because once you find the line, too much speed can take you back off it. Then you're fighting a losing battle. It's all a balance, but the line must come first.

ah, stated more clearly than i did, and clearly he knows what he's talking about. not that i was able to control my car very well this weekend though, i've got a lot of getting used to here with it all over again.

<Noob, Where do you guys get those small cameras that were mounted to the roofs of some of the cars. I did a search and came up with only regular ones in stores and sticky pod mounts.

TROLL 10-30-2007 02:57 PM

they're commonly referred to as lipstick cameras. you need a video camera and they plug in to it as an auxiliary input to record... pretty sweet.

God I want to make it to a Warminster event. Waiting the return of my busted motor mount and then a new timing belt and water pump and I should be out there.

There any more events at warminster before the season ends for Philly Region?

Frank I'm signing up currently for the 11th. I think I had sent a PM to you about it, but your welcome to co-drive my car on the 11th @ Ripken if you'd like. Just let me know.

I've got in-car footage of my runs, but its boring to watch if you haven't been on the course so I'm not even going to post it.

piknockout 10-31-2007 11:50 AM

Glad you all had a good time. I'll be at Ripken this Sunday and both events next weekend. You guys should come out, it will definitely be a blast. Next weekend's courses will probably be a bit technical if I had to take a guess. It's the weekend of the Philly/A.I. Challenge so I'm sure they're going to try and toss in a few trick elements. But should be fun either way...what else would you rather be doing anyways?

TTsupra911 10-31-2007 02:06 PM

Like I said before I'll be down on the 11th. Can't make the 10th due to going up to Rausch Creek with my Jeep and this weekend I just flat out need to get some stuff done around home. Good luck Josh and I'll see you on the 11th

PaleDSM 10-31-2007 06:51 PM

Can't do this weekend either though I would like too. I will be at a meet at Bear Mtn. in New York.

NOPSTNS 10-31-2007 09:20 PM

adrian ill take ya up on the offer, pm me ur cell and ill call ya soon and we will work out the details. id love a new spin on autox.....fwd...how tricky!

piknockout 11-01-2007 01:13 PM

It's not so much that his car is FWD that make it different to drive, it's that the gas pedal is more like an "on/off" switch.
