depends on what the court case is for, if it's just traffic stuff yes we can get someone to stand in for us if something comes up that we can't make it to court
if it's a case of a serious nature then the case will be continued

Yeah one of my buddy's got pulled over for doing 10 over the speed limit and said he had some girl instead of the guy cop who pulled him over, I didn't know they could do that but, thanks!

This is also very common in Delaware to try and keep more Officers on the streets. A lot of detectives who might happen to have a light work load might take care of the court stuff. Works well in my opinion.
