Laser Boostin (updated,rewritten)

So I picked this gem up for $450 about two weeks ago,
after searching for a 4g63 engine on craigs list. After finding a good price I contacted this guy had a engine posted for $450. When I called him to my surprise he told me he'd throw in the whole car. He originally stated it was a 1g eclipse. When I got there and saw that it was a Plymouth Laser and clearly not the eclipse I was a little disappointed at first. But for $450 it just seemed like a great deal considering it was running fairly nice when he started it up. None the less I got home and took her off my trailer and started her up and of course it started to stall out and you had to keep at at 2krpms to keep her alive. Nothing to keep my morale down, I was determined to get her running rite.
Just finished installing the front brake pads and rotors but they took some persuasion to get off also replaced the air filter , oil filter, fuel filter, battery, battery strap, new coolant and windshield wipers. To my surprise everything seems to still work fine (window motors, windshield wipers and sprayers) and the a/c still runs ice cold! There is a leak somewhere either the water pump or a head gasket but I cant really feel any loss of compression I just see coolant shooting out from under the belts and all over the belts on the right hand side.... Other than that the car runs great with just a few thousand miles over 100k and it wont shift into its final gear and rev's real high after 70mph its automatic so im thinking i might as well do a 5speed swap or get a quote on the transmission repaired anyway ill keep ya posted!

As promised pics finally took some today...
First ill start with the money shots...

and a close up
as you can see hopefully i replaced the air filter and the fuel filter along with the oil filter and drained out the old coolant and put new coolant, oil and trans fluid in... did not replace trans filter though too much work(for now)...

now some body shots

the ugly ..... should be an easy fix though

does obviously need a paint job... im thinkin a quick maaco job or a wal - mart special lol

no rust and the treads on all tires are good!

low miles baby!

came with some extra ecu's and this thing i found in the trunk..

Also picked this beuty up for $150 with a good 5 speed trans but no engine...
95 esI talon

old rotor after some persuasion

fresh rotors and pads!

Come this isn't a build thread. Get some more pictures up. Tell us more about the car.

Lazer pics

ok so i worked out all the kinks in the engine just replaced the timing belt and water pump along with the 3 other accessory belts, but of course after doing all this the heads seem to be burning a little white smoke looks like its time for a new head gasket in the very near future....
This weekend I'm going to throw on a new set of motor mounts and then take the tranny out for a rebuild.
Got quoted $650 for the rebuild from a friend who I can trust. Once the trans is rebuilt then shell be ready for 300hp.
But i do not know what i need to do to achieve 300hp to the wheel and keep her reliable still?
