my del sol starts up 100% of the time in the morning and when i dont drive it for awhile

but if i run to the gas station and shut the car off. it has a hard time starting sometimes. i know it gets fuel becuase i smell it pumping.. it usualy starts if i wait a minute and then feather it gas while turning the key.. after that i smell a ton of gas burning.

i dunno what it could be

the solder joints in the main relays go bad in hondas. take it out and resolder the joints. i had the same problem with my civic.

sounds about right my 97 lx after i did my b16 swap in it my relay started going bad i didn't repair it i swapped it out and it never did it again. i am sure its the same problem!

Also used to happen to my buddys EG. Ended up being main ground cable was crap we replaced it and never had the issue again

Its pretty embarassing.

Last night on the way to the blvd i was parked at wawa with my friends 240.. two vws pulled in the space next to me.

I got to my car and said " Nice hondas " and got in my car after getting dirty looks lol

then my car wouldnt start up right away

lol

anyhow what do these relays cost in case i dont feel like soldering in my poorly ventilated apartment.

if you do that would be cool... i can resolder the old one but a new one would save me the time...

rich, go to PFI off of spruce street. erin stocks them.

If the car wont start slam on the dash in the relay area a few times with your hand and it should start right up, I cant tell you how many people I know with Honda's that are too lazy to replace the damn thing and just beat on the dash a couple times instead.

if i give it a second it usually just starts up fine.. or slowly..... I found where it is in my car so ill just kick it next time lol
