Were both cars automatic? Well it depends on what your looking for, your looking at two completely different cars. Scion TC is an economy driven sporty car and is FWD, on the other hand you have a RWD Sports Oriented car that is not going to get as good gas milage and have a completely different feel than a FWD car as you probably noticed. Being Toyota Biased and not a big fan of American made cars im going to say that the Scion TC is going to be more realiable and having a longer life than the Dodge Charger, with less maintence problems down the road etc. I know a bunch of American Muscle guys are going to jump in and say im a ricer full of crap Dodge is a well built car, but taken from family expierence my dad loves dodge my mom loves toyota so we have had our fair share of both....Funny no my dad is no longer a Dodge or American made car fan anymore.....

But its what you like, you said you LOVED The charger so if thats what you like than get. Is is a good Buy depending on how bad you want that car, any car can have problems, more some than others, so really its what you want and if your willing to pay for it

Both were automatic considering i cant drive manual. haha. i liked the sportiness of the scion. but to me its more sensible to have a charger. i figure if i keep up the maintenance and get one with somewhat low mileage, i can keep it for a long time. I know the charger eats gas, especially if i go the v8 instead of the 6, but i really don't drive that far to go to school or work. and once i graduate im guaranteed my dream job thats right in my town. so im not really concerned about gas. my dad likes the safety of the charger which means he will help pitch in to buy it. but the scion is like my idol car. my head hurts from thinking about all thiss. haha

Like said, two completely different cars. However, one is a two door and one is a four, Ive driven both V6 and V8 chargers, and the Scion TC.

Now, while I like the styling of the TC exterior wise, it felt incredibly cheap and uncomfortable to me on the interior. However, I am picky about my interiors because I drive ALOT. The Charger is a bigger, safer and faster car if you go with the V8 (theres no sense in getting the V6) and has the comfort of four doors, which pays off alot if you have friends haha jk.

I personally would get the Charger if you werent concerned with getting a manual transmission, which the Charger doesnt come with at all. Its one of Dodges' better cars.

thats exactly how i feel about the TC. ive been a passenger and a driver in the TC. and both times i was not thrilled about. i love the way it looks on the outside, but i felt that they half assed the inside. The charger i felt so comfortble in. very spacious and a very sophisticated car

Well its all about what you put into the car aslo, and the price range is quite different between the two cars also.....So yes if i was buying a charger for idk what they go for high 20's-mid 30's depending on models? to a brand new scion TC for around 23 fully loaded so gotta take that into account

and what Medical School are you at im in a Medical Imaging program at Bloom U and plan on going to Jefferson

You always need all that power, if you buy a Charger, get it used with low miles. Car Sense and Car Vision are good places to find them with low miles for decent prices which will be = or < a new TC, just let someone else take the hit for depreciation. You can also consider my Ford Fusion, its sweet and its a 2009...

I would get a Charger over a Mustang personally, and I work for Ford. You can definately find a decent deal on one if you look, as with any car. I just for some reason liked the HEMI Charger we had for a week, it was comfy, attractive inside and out, little effort to move and great sound. Just ashame you cant get it in stick, especially the SRT-8.

if concentration is an issue... you should get a stick.

I think if everyone had to actually pay attention to driving their car (ie having a manual trans) then there would be less careless accidents resulting from not paying attention.

on the other hand..if the Scion is your dream car, you got issues. lol I drive a Focus, but not because I want to..lol

Stick is alot of fun, not sure I will ever go back to automatic in all honesty. Dad im sure will go for you in a big, comfy and safe car. I got my Fusion because i needed something on the bigger side (4doors) safe (6 airbags) fuel efficient (4cylinder-up to 34mpg) and its been Ford's most reliable car in the last decade.

Im just a college student who works when im not in class, so getting a fast, gas guzzling car thats expensive to insure wasnt much of an option.

yupp thats exactly what im doing. i think your starting year you make 36 dollers an hour. and yes the hospital is literally 5 minutes from my house. i think if i wanted i could wlak to work.

the scion is a nice car, but i think the charger is a more practical choice

my situation is the same. im in school full time and than after i work for 3.5 hours everyday. good thing but my job and schooling is close to home so im not burning much gas
