Tire Recommendation

Soon, I am going to be in need of new tires for my Accord. I've had alignment issues in the past which kind of chewed these tires up, so I need new ones. My price range may be tight, but I don't want to spend over $80 for each tire. Right now, I have Yokohama Avid T4 185/70-13"(13 inch rim). The car is used as DD, so I don't need any special tires as I am on steelies. So what do you guys recommend? I don't want really crappy tires, but I also don't need very good tires.

Thanks.

P.S. I forgot to mention I need all season.

I have checked that, and the only tires they have in my size are the Avid T4's, which I don't want again as they suck in wet roads. They having the Avid Touring which from reviews seem to be well, I may consider those. They also have Khumo's but the reviews sucks.

You dont have much to pick from with a 13" rim...drag radials will do but i bet your aint wide enough

I've checked and they seem to have the same selection, well just about. I guess having such small tires isn't great.

How much you want for them? I'll have to see really, I doubt I will invest in wheels right now. What condition are they in?

I feel your pain in trying to hunt for 13's since that is the size tire my Escort uses. I've almost exclusively had Hankook's on my cars the last few years. These are what I have on right now:
Mileage Plus 845's
http://www.hankooktireusa.com/produc...il.asp?pid=447

I think they are a Pep Boys only tire. They usually run about $40 a tire. I know right now Pep Boys is having a buy 3 get a tire free deal going but you have to get them installed there. Also, look around for a $10 off coupon online. I got the entire set of 4 tires for $188 out the door. My second choice would be Kumho's, especially these:

Thanks for links. How well do the Hankook's handle on wet road? I have problem on wet road, I can't get traction till I hit 35mph in 2nd gear. I wouldn't want anyone to install the tires for me as I have the necessary tools to do it myself. I will keep an eye out for the coupons as you mentioned. Thanks for the tips!

I've never had any problem with the Hankooks in the rain. They really grip well in the wet. They wear like iron too. My dad had a set on his car when he was a courier and they still looked new after 50k miles..

I have about 30-40k on current tires and the tread is getting close to the wear bars. How is the road noise?

LOL @ 13'' wheels. That's the size of a nice brake rotor

Get some OEM honda wheels in 14''. You'll have much more options.

I don't have the money right now to get wheels and tires. This is why I am looking for some cheap tires to get by on. However, the car may be sold soon, so getting wheels is pointless. If I end up keeping the car I will eventually get some wheels, I am trying to keep the stock look of this car. One reason is because Honda's are riced out to much now days;especially older ones. I don't see many older Honda's that are stock in good condition.

Yeah 14" wheels are usually the black steel wheels, which is what I think he was referring to, not some aftermarket wheel. Ask around and you can probably find a used set for dirt cheap as no one really uses them unless its for snow tires. Shoot..I just gave away 4 of them since I dont use'em.

I will have to see how things go after the move. Right now, I need to change some bushings out, so unless I find some for under $60 I won't bother.
