This is why.... when my headgasket was going in the first car..... I replaced the head gasket.


And to add to these stories.... I've got one from a friend of mine

So, his 98 Jetta VR6 had a coolent leak. Instead of adding coolent, and fixing the leak, he kept pouring water into it. For months. Well, it was getting into the fall, and we had a pretty cold snap in October. He went to start the car, and basically e'ffed the motor 6 ways from Sunday, since all of the water had froze.

But to fix this, he bought a donor car, and once the weather was nicer again, we swapped motors.

Doohh.. Almost as good as my best friend's ex putting water in the engine because it was low on oil * shakes head* I will never understand his logic on that one..
