The seller does not give any real information about what is done to the car such as what type of cams, suspension, header, and so on. I have never heard of stage 4 cams and I would hope if he is running such an agressive cam that head is built. Also it says nothing about engine management.

Kind of hard to give you any advice about the car without the facts.

As far as being fast, that really depends on what you consider fast. To me it would be slow but some people think 14 second cars are fast.

^^troof. It will definately run 13s with a tune. With aggressive cams it should run low 13s. However, it sounds like a piece and like its being sold by someone who knows nothing about it.

I'd ask for proof of purchase on that "Type R" engine. He doesn't provide any legal proof that he bought it and that in fact it is Type R. Anyone can buy a Mugen Valve cover.

why dont you call him and go check the car out, he just might not be as computer savvy as some of us or not know as much english, hence the reason for not a good description... if it has internal work done to it, and a nice suspension setup, maybe worth 5,500., i kno alot of people from north jersey who build cars, and actually build them
!!! and alot of them are bilingual and dont do to well with the whole internet thing, so why dont u just go look at it urself in person.. but honestly if YOU urself dont know if it is gonna be a fast car or not, then maybe you shouldnt buy it and learn a lil more about the game before you go wasting money, start off with a decent running car and learn as you go, instead of tryna jumop in a spend 5k on something u aint sure about.

and for the guy who has nevea heard of stage 4 cams, buddy club makes a 4 cam, it is humungous... i doubt this car has anything that big though, prolly juss some skunk2s

and you dont need a reciept to prove it is a type r motor, and mugen valve covers def dont make it type r, read the engine code, simple as that

I think if you dont kno basic stuff to look for and dont realize what u r gettin into then dont, do a lil more reading and research and learn a bit, and in the meantime get urself a nice clean running car and go from there...

best of luck!!!

id still stay away, seems fishy. wouldnt doubt for a minute that the engine isnt stolen either. the seller seems to not know much about the car, just find another one its either beat to **** or stolen.

the only reason to ask for the receipt of the engine purcharse is to make sure it isnt stolen

lol sounds like a stupid ricer that has no idea what he has or is selling, more than likely a stock motor with an SAFC/VAFC hack on it. the Stg4 cams is a dead giveaway!

please dont buy a pre-modified car...especially from craigslist or anything like that. you will spend more money in the end fixing stupid **** than you would buying the car stock and putting the same parts on it

man i hate craigslist. NO do not buy this car! if someone's selling a legit Type R swapped EG hatchback with "stage 4 cams", don't you think there'd be a more in depth description than the one given?? there are plenty of cars out there for sale with proper descriptions and proof of parts installed. internet saavy, bilingual, whatever. who cares. if you're selling me a Type R swapped civic, you'd better have your s*** straight and be able to tell me every detail about the car.

people who buy these hacked up swapped cars are the ones who always pop up on HT or another site begging for help, and asking why VTAK doesn't work... and wondering why there are random cut/spliced wires all over their engine bay.

if you decide it's worth it to you, and if you want to take a look at the car in person, go for it... but DON'T bring a penny. bring someone who knows hondas very well (or at least read up on some REAL information first). after you're sure of the condition and quality ofthe swap, tell the guy you'd like to come back with the money when he brings you the title. better yet, have the guy meet you at the title place and exchange money inside. i've known or heard of way to many people who get ripped off by these idiots on craigslist.
