your retarded.. and you work at car sales place????

The ap2 is a much better starting point than a ap1. They made a ton of changes. Get a 04 and up. I've been trying to find a 05 gpw with red and black interior for a while now.

Fun car to drive....

I like them in the graphite. Actually test drove one that was the graphite color with red/black interior....had under 3k miles on it. Pretty sweet. I'd say get it I guess. I'd honestly rather have a lexus.

All Types of Cars!

Having owned an S2000 and read A LOT about them....i can say this:

The AP1's are GREAT cars...the 9k redline is very cool....but trust me, you wont be redlining each gear on a daily basis...so that is no as important as some may suggest....and while the price is usually right on the AP1's (for obvious reasons) it is VERY tough to find one that wasnt beaten on, baked in the sun (soft top), or modified in a way you dont like.

Now, the AP2 is what i would recomend. True the redline is down (See above point) but the tq. is up (very usable in the real world), the gearbox was tweaked (again, useable upgrade) and the style (subjective) of the wheels and body kit are VASTLY improved over the AP1. Throw in the glass rear window (02+ so obv on all AP2's) and a few otehr nick-nacks and you have yourself one heckuva car.

Like someone said before me, get the newest one you can, with the lowest miles, and that is stock. Things to look for include the condition of the soft top (faded, smoothness, operation), obv rear tires, and wear on the bolsters of the seats. Otherwise, find the color you like and let er rip!!!

ap2 all the way. honestly you can't compare the two cars there is really not many things the same. front-back top-bottom most things are changed. IMO 04-05 is the best year to own. no traction control or drive by wire. right now your gonna have a hard time finding killer deals as the market for drop tops is high due to the weather. i bought my 04 in feb. had 22k miles on the clock, one owner serviced at honda, and honda certified. i paid $16,500 OTD. You should be able to find a clean stock ap2 for right around 20 or little lower. here's a good thread showing all the changes throughout the years. w/e s2k you end up with it doesnt matter they are ALL fun cars.

depends how i drive it. on the highway i get like 27mpg. beating on it, we won't go there, lol. i don't daily drive my car so i dont really care what it gets on mileage. i think the ap1's do a tiny better on gas mileage though due to smaller engine.

nah stock ap1's make around 200whp and stock ap2's around 210whp. my car with intake/header made 220whp. they are both rated at 240 crank hp, but i think the rating system changed around 2004 so the ap2 actually makes more.
