IS300 or G35 Sedan?

Trying to decide on which of these two will be my next vehicle...

03-05 IS300 5-speed RWD 215hp
03-06 G35 Sedan 6-speed RWD 260+hp

They are roughly the same price, G35 a bit cheaper depending on options. I love the look and feel of the IS300 but for the same money the G provides 45+hp and better gearbox, but also looks a bit more bland. Anyone own one of the two want to weigh in?

Which would you rather have a Toyota or a Nissan? I think in the long run the IS300 is more reliable considering it's a Toyota.

First, see if your thread belongs anywhere else on the forum. Then, stop and think about it a little more. If after your own personal double-screening it it doesnt belong anywhere else, put it here. Nothing automotive. Ever.

The 3 Series was also on my list too! ...but I dropped it because I like the newest (E90) body style better, I just feel the E46 is dated looking...

It is just hard for me to pass up the extra gear and extra 45+hp for less money... I really love the IS style and handling though

Get an IS300 and you can make it look like something like this. Compliments to CarbonIS

haha that was funny yes true lol

The IS300 is the best cey are a true sports sedan. the Handle WAY better then the G, you can have way more fun in the IS, better realibilty with the IS, and get better resale with the IS. I sold my 02 with 120K for 9500 a few months ago. It never gave me any trouble even past 100K miles. ran great its whole life, just basic mantaince. The G35's Ive seen come through here ALWAYS have stupid issues that add up after a while. Id take the IS anyday of the week.

Thats the point to life right..scraping subframe...

O.P. I would go with the IS simply becase Toyota is known for being reliable, and Nissan hasnt made the best quality cars on the market in the past 7-8 years. The IS IMO looks better, is more comfortable, and drives nicer than the G, and Im sure as Kevin said above, it holds value better. This is all given that Ive never been a fan of anything Nissan except the 300zx so you could say im biased.

P.S. OP, I got to drive an IS300 today, automatic though, and it was nice. Pretty comfortable, and good fun. I say go for that.
