The complete ground-up build of Muddy's new 05 WRX!!! Many pics!! 56K lol

So I took delivery of a brand new, right out of the box, 05 wrb WRX.

Happy times!

So, first things first. Overnight parts from Japan! This was a HUGE delivery. You can see how many parts arrived at once.

So, being that I had a lot of work ahead of me, I started on the interior first. The front seats and the center console went together first.

Next, was the rear seats.

Followed by the dashboard, instrument cluster, doors, rear deck and 3rd brakelight, and firewall. This was the weirdest build ever.

At this point, I was satisfied with the interior. I moved onto more challenging things like the engine. First up was the block and transmission. I didn't take pictures of the internal engine build, but it sure was tough!

After that, the engine "stuff went on." First up was the pulley assemble, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and upper rad hose.

Next was the good stuff. Turbo, up-pipe, intercooler, and turbo inlet pipe. Hooray for forced induction.

After that, the motor went in, well into the chassis, as well as the interior. The project was starting to come together.

Next, the body went on.

Dubz yo!

Brakes, wheels and tires, and turboback exhaust.

Front and rear suspension is finally in, and the wheels and tires are fitted, along with the exhaust. Now I can flip her over and install the side mirrors, fill up the fluids, and start her up.

Vroom!!!

Christmas present from my 11 year old nephew. He actually apologized because it wasn't the same bodystyle as mine. Pretty cool that an 11 year old knew that.

Can you find out where he got that from, a friend of my dad does real models of personal cars and all he needs is a scale replica to start with.

totally should have had a thread in "member journals" and gotten some crazy closeups to obscure what it is and called it a huge secret
