What the hell happened to the eagles?

Is anyone watching this? I'm confused... this doesn't look like the eagles i have watched all season.

I dislike mcnabb alot. But wow, he is doing real nice right now.

Lets go Eagles!

Saints are out haha!

I guess Donovan's getting healthy again. I just hope he comes back next year better than he is ending this year, because we will definitely have a good shot at winning then!

McNabb is potentially fighting for his career. My theory is that he has been healthy "enough" all along (other than the obvious injuries), but got so comfortable with his position on the team, and in the NFL, that he relaxed and was no longer going to take certain risks that made him good (i.e. scrambling). Now he has to play with all of his heart in the game, and it's showing. He should take lessons from QB's like Brett Favre who have had their heart in the game all along.

I don't know, ACL tears aren't exactly something you recover from in a week. It takes most players 2 years to get back to full health, I think asking Donovan to do it in ~8months was a bit much. He seems to be much healthier now and... well we clearly know that Fealey will not be filling in the starting spot lol.

The last injury was a mild ankle sprain and a thumb sprain. It's a very common injury. Before that, at 8+ months, it was painfully obvious that he wasn't even TRYING to scramble. The injury wasn't effecting him to the point that he couldn't run at all. He just chose not to. WHEN he did scramble at the beginning of the season, he did so just as clumsily as he does now. It was just a rare event, as he preferred to just sit in the pocket and not try to make a play happen (like he did years ago, and in the past week).

Well then, I suppose I have to agree to disagree.

ACL tears are life changing injuries, no player will ever be the same after that. Plus, Donovan is better when he stays in the pocket and doesn't try and scramble too much, however it's up to the offensive line to keep him safe in there. That's the idea in football afterall.

I don't know, he was a good scrambler when he was younger but his playing style has changed and he didn't go to the superbowl during a "scrambling" season. Plus, scrambling is what got him injured in the first place, and it is no secret that Donovan can't hold onto the ball worth a damn.

Let me say for experience, An ACL tear and repair is no joke. I almost ripped mine in two and had it fixed almost 3 years ago and i'm still a big bitch about it. It's just one of those thing that you don't ever want to happen again. He has to be scared. I give all those guys a ton of credit gettin back on the field.
