Oreo931's 850 T-5R. Couple new things!

I've been on here for a little bit so I decided I would make a member journal. I dont think many people on here like Volvos, or care about them, but I am going to make a page anyways.

Just a little bit of background on my car. It is a very rare model + color that was imported into the U.S. in low numbers. I believe there are only 3000 worldwide. I know for a fact that there were only 180 imported into the U.S., and around 40 or so have been totaled or parted or w/e. This car has a 5 cylinder engine, ~240 hp (stock), and comes with a Mitsubishi td04hl-15g turbocharger that runs ~10.5 psi stock.

I have gone through a lot with this car. I've been through several engines (before finally having mine built), 2 transmissions (before deciding to do a manual swap), and a bunch of other stuff. (see below)

Here are my current modifications:

1995 Yellow 850 T5-R (only 180 sedans and 85 wagons imported to the U.S.)

nice car. i'm not a fan of the black spoiler though. maybe the carbon mirrors will even it out a bit. did u get rid of the halo headlights?

I got rid of the angel eye headlights. I regret it now, because they were the only set in the US <made by me > I planned on getting a different set of headlights, but I ended up having to spend the money I got for selling my old lights on some maintenance items. Hopefully I will be able to buy the headlights I want AND install angel eyes in them.

As for the spoiler, I plan on having it painted in the summer <not the lip though>.

wow, rare and it appears to be in nearly immaculate condition. I suggest buying a daily and keeping that a mint rare car. Is there much aftermarket wise as far as built internals and such?

I do have another car. My sister drives it for the most part.
Its also slightly modified (mostly cosmetic and sound stuff because its n/a). Here is a picture or two:







To be honest, the yellow has 173k on it, it is in GREAT shape inside and out, and it runs well too. Once the motor "gets tired" per say, or once I find another motor for cheap, then I plan on doing a small build. Otherwise, I'm going to daily drive the hell out of the car, I love it too much to let it sit.

There is an aftermarket for internals. They arent as widely available as most other aftermarket internals are, but you CAN get them. It just takes a little longer to get them <they are made and shipped from outside the US> and costs a little more.

Edit: Contrary to what most people would think, there is a very good aftermarket for Volvos in Europe, and it isnt unusual for them to be heavily modified over there. Especially in Sweden
