I would love to do this, if it didn't murder your paint and engine bay.

I know I drive on the turnpike with that stuff all over the front. People look at me and laugh. You know what i might just do it and get it out of the way then bring on the pressure washer and polish

Best part of the description. The event surface varies from packed clay on the track surface to the dirt and loose gravel in the infield - it is unlikely that cars will be damaged, but normal gravel dings are possible. I think I am going to enter the neon.

hope that it rains the whole day before. then you won't need to tape up the front of your car. ^_^

i need to go to this. i missed too many Rally's this year.

i used to think there wasn't a cure for terminal neon-itis. But then I discovered a wonderful treatment, called 350HP and RWD.

This event is easier on your car than most auto-x. The only problem is if your car is significantly lowered- one guy last year had a slammed car with a big front lip and it dug in where the infield transitioned to the banked part of the track. There is really no reason to tape up the front of your car- if you have gravel going on your hood or front bumper then you have bigger problems thn your paint! Maybe a little on the sides near the wheel wells is it if you're really anal. I get some paint chips on my wheels but I just spray them once a year (whether they need it or not!) with some duplicolor, but you must remember my car sees alot of gravel use, not just one rally-x.

I ran this last year in my RS. I'm slightly worried about using my WRX because my project L probably won't be finished but eh, screw it. The paint isn't perfect and I'm gonna put blue tape around the wheels and hope for the best. Besides my RS didn't get any new scratches and I was kicking gravel pretty good.

LOL yeah the corner light clip was broken. The right side skirt was dangling also.

Stock springs....I think the body roll makes it look lowered.

this looks awesome...how is the surface in regard to ruts/bumps? I have stiffer springs in and don't really want to swap back to stockers...
