i just got the starmate 4. i love it instlaled correctly. one big dissapointemnt. i did the fm direct conenct chord too. when im playing a song my bass doesnt hit as hard as it does with an ipod. i have to blast it to get the bass oging high enough. is there a way to make it different. i have an avic n2 and thats on super bass, the highest bass level and also with the bass maxed on level. anyway i can make the starmate output more bass. thanks.

thats just how it is....its FM modulated so your never going to get the sound quality from it then you would FM, cd, or ipod. The most you can do is press the menu button on your unit and scroll down to settings, select it and go into audio options and see if you can turn the output volume up on the unit. I install these things everyday, and i never really liked the way they sounded compared to any thing else. The sound quality difference is becuase the satalite signals are so heavily encoded so other people cannot steal the stations or be picked up w/o their unit

oo thanks. yeah it does suck im disapointed for 12.95 per month. but o well just have to turn the speakers up
