Subaru buy-back program....scam..?

I got a letter today in the mail saying that according to Rafferty Subaru's records, I drive an in-demand vehicle and they want to offer to buy it back from me at a special above NADA book price. Also, they will sell me a new subaru at little or no out of pocket cost and claim they can keep my monthly payments the same or lower them.

Has anybody heard of a deal like this? Is there some kind of catch involved?

I would consider doing this only if I could get an 06 Sti at the same monthly price as I have now. If this is legit I would consider doing it.

What does everyone think??

The real question is how much do you like your car?

total scam, we used to send the same thing out when i worked at peruzzi pontiac. they say that to get you in the door, and then once you've fallen in love with an 06 sti, thay will come at you with a high payment, and low trade value. some people are thick enough to let "new car bling" blind them while they are being ripped off. if you do attend the sale, make sure you focus on trade value, bottom line price of the new car, and interest rate. leasing is another story. never pay msrp. g/l

Here's an answer to your question...

I got a letter about 2 weeks ago from Chrysler for my Crossfire that was worded exactly the same. First of all, it's leased. Second of all, the average lot time on a new one is OVER A YEAR, so bad that they're actually selling BRAND NEW for the buyout on my lease (around 22K). In fact, it was so bad that they didn't even attempt to bring 2006 models over to sell.

Needless to say, I called and they said, "Oh, nevermind."

I always looked at it this way. If it sounds to good to be true, then it's not true. lol

I get all kinds of things from Subaru, I just throw them away...

Dealers pull this kind of stuff but wonder why their industry is look down upon.
Are there no rules that govern this buisness?
